Cockos have announced that ARA support in Reaper “is coming”. This will mean complete integration of Celemony Melodyne pitch editing software.

Cakewalk & Melodyne Users Excited With Reaper's ARA Upcoming Support
    on December 10, 2017

    Cockos
have been leading up to some exciting new features, including ARA support which is now announced as an upcoming implementation. This has caused waves on Reaper and Cakewalk forums (Cakewalk recently has been discontinued and many users are switching over to Reaper for it's similarities, cost effectiveness, and now ARA implementation). This might seem like a small implementation to some, and others might not even know what ARA is, but it is a long sought after feature that users have been requesting for years.

Hi. Finally. This means independent for many. No more hassle to open two applications at once. I'm excited.

Meanwhile, I'll be catching up HBO Silicon Valley TV series, in between doing introductory reading about LUA programming. Warming up for the computer programmer mindset.

    Best wishes.

as a studio one user, who is largely very happy with the DAW, i will be switching to the first DAW that offers full audio and controller sync between 2 pcs.....the idea that i cant sync 2 pcs with studio one running in this day and age is ridiculous

    Hi
Ridiculous ? Almost, if it wouldn't be so sad.
I guess thats less lack of capability than pure intent...

Hi. Because the situation is interesting, I took some moment to look out if this functionality available in Reaper. It seems does have to some extent, for both audio and midi synchronization. Found a user made some rough guide here: Computer Music – Sync two PCs or Macs using Reaper vi MTC – MidiTimecode

I'm not sure about controller but I've heard that Softube Console 1 offers full integration with Reaper. Maybe look around for additional setup for switching the controller between two PCs.

There's also MTC synchronization feature available for Ableton and Pro Tools (saw some videos on YT). Maybe take a look at those too especially on Ableton since it has it own controller.

    Best wishes.
