Seems there's a dev preview (available to first 1million who subscribe) for who is interested. I am not. ​

 

Yeah I was quite underwhelmed myself when I read the announcement a day ago.

Cause then it wouldnt be OS X. Itd be OS XI.

 

Yeah, I read that apple were making their OS more like iOS. They were right, looks like an exact copy of iOS. The design looks so cheesy and amateur, like it was made by a 1st grader or something.

Windows is also releasing windows 9 next year. These companies need to stop money grabbing...

Putting out new versions every year or two is super annoying, developers are finally catching up to Mavericks & Windows 8.1 and now a new update again... This is terrible for PRO users who are being slowly fazed out market wise each year...

 

OS XI?!

I remember clearly the day OS X appeared. Damn that makes me feel old

 

I am watching the Event right now and I can only laugh my ass off about HOW HARD they are trying to sell translucent windows as a feature that supports YOUR personality. It's so ridiculous, it's almost entertaining… not

And, ohhh, these beautifiul icons… fuck these softish shitty iOS icons! ;)

 

I don't mind the colors and the icons... they are OK for me! But the translucent windows.... I mean come on... Looks like Windows 7 right out of the box! hate it already

and there is no good reason like "get a visual feel of where you are" god damn it I know where I am! I am on my fucking desktop :D this is so redicilous

 

It looks ok to me. Spotlight demo was impressive.
But why do people clap at these events? Wooo! WOOP! yeah man!! Embarrassing

 

New Safari and Apple Mail Cloud was useful. I alos like the interoperabilty between the devices. I hated the Android bash, though. Because the widges - stolen from android. As well as the auto-suggestions and multiple sharing options. But yeah: building one device with one OS is pretty easy in comparison to Android, which is working on THOUSANDS of different devices. BTW: there's a dev preview of 10.10 out already which can be found at the usual places… will test it tomorrow.

 

With all this translucency & stuff, yes they've taken it from iOS, but it also looks like the aero stuff from vista/7, which was sorta not useful.

 

They don't give a sht about us!!! they just wanna make their money !!!! Why to many upgrades????? They didn't fix yet what they have at the moment!!!!! This is fcking joke..!!!! Maverics, mountain lion they are buggy as hell !!!!

 

Im at 10.8ish and like where i am. And dont care about the updates they are pushing. Tim Cook is a fool and is driving apple to the floor. I think the company would be better with someone else. Especially the lack of attention they put on this absurd Discrete Graphics card issue on Macbook Pros. Bunch of monkeys in there i tell you.

Yeah it's really insane to see a new release when the latest system is still buggy as hell and
what do they do? They spend like 50% of developers time to bring new graphics
nobody gives a fuck about to say the least. Actually many already hatin those graphics.
I don't give the slightest fuck about graphic, they could change it they could return to OS classic look if they feel like.
But please, make a stable, reliable system, like you used to do for years.
If they could just keep support for older OSs I wouldn't be bothered,
but that's clearly not the case
