Here are some steps and troubleshooting tips to help you resolve the installation issues with your Apollo Twin X Thunderbolt on your Windows 11 PC:

    1. Verify Hardware Requirements
    • Ensure you are using a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 cable (not included with the Apollo Twin X) and that your motherboard supports Thunderbolt 3.

    • Confirm that your MSI Z690 ACE motherboard has Thunderbolt enabled in the BIOS. Check for the latest BIOS updates on MSI's website.
    2. Update Drivers and Firmware
    • Update your Thunderbolt drivers and software from MSI's support page for your motherboard model.

    • Ensure Windows 11 is fully updated by going to Settings > Windows Update and installing all available updates.
    3. Install UAD Software
    • Download the latest UAD software from Universal Audio's website.

    • Perform a full uninstall of any previous UAD software installations before reinstalling it. This ensures no corrupted files remain.

    • After installation, restart your PC and connect the Apollo Twin X via Thunderbolt.
    4. Enable Kernel Extensions
Some users report needing to allow kernel extensions for the Apollo Twin X to function correctly:

    • Open Windows Security > Device Security > Core Isolation and disable "Memory Integrity" temporarily if it causes conflicts with the UAD drivers.
    5. Check Thunderbolt Settings
    • Ensure your Thunderbolt device is detected in your system's Device Manager under "System Devices."

    • If not detected, try different Thunderbolt ports or cables, as faulty cables can cause connection issues.
    6. Register and Authorize Your Device
    • Open the UAD Meter & Control Panel to register your Apollo Twin X and authorize plugins.

    • Ensure your PC is connected to the internet during this process.
    7. Perform a Hardware Reset
If all else fails, perform a hardware reset on the Apollo Twin X:

    1. Power off the device.

    2. Disconnect it from your PC.

    3. Reconnect and power it back on while holding down specific reset buttons as per the manual instructions.
    8. Community Recommendations
    • Some users on forums like Reddit suggest testing with other PCs or Macs to confirm whether the issue is hardware-related.

    • If you continue to face issues, consider reaching out to Universal Audio support for further assistance.

It is likely that your interface needs a firmware update and this can only be done on macos. My advice is to connect the interface to a mac, proceed with the update and then use it on a pc.
This procedure is not explicitly written in the manual, but it is the only way to solve the problem

did you do these exact steps?:
    1) download all the correct latest drivers (Windows 11) for your motherboard from your motherboard manufacturer website
    2) download the correct latest installer from UA
    3) physically disconnect internet
    4) uninstall leftover UA stuff, its audio drivers etc...
    5) reboot
    6) install those motherboard drivers (chipset, thunderbolt etc...)
    7) reboot
    8) install that UA stuff again
    9) reboot
    10) check everything works, only then connect internet back

This step is very important. If any remnants are left installed, that is how you end up with an installation loop headache. Using Revo Uninstaller Pro might help cleanup.

Make sure you are using a good thunderbolt 3 cable. A marginally bad cable that might work ok with another device, can still be your problem. It wants 20gbs.

If the software installer asks if you want to install Luna, skip it.

This is not correct. Although there were cases like this with some older PC configurations, I have always updated the firmware on my Apollos on PC succesfully.

I'd suggest to contact support and let them know the issue. Possibly another problem which they could assist to solve.

Not all apollo batches are the same, some (mine) needed a Mac for the firmware update, I discussed my issue for a week with customer support without success and then I found this solution on my own. So, in case the usual procedures already listed of uninstall/reinstall driver are uneffective and the problem persists, I recommend connecting the interface to a Mac to update the firmware.
