I recently stumbled across this Daniel James video:

In the first section he plays with Soundpaint, essentially a new sample engine in the ilk of Kontakt and so on. It looks pretty interesting and the engine is free, with the libraries being paid for. There is a request for it on the sister site, but it doesn't seem to have appeared anywhere for testing from what I can see. However, the piano sounds seem pretty incredible in terms of being able to create atmospheric and ethereal ambience soundscapes and so on. Just wondering if anyone is using it and have any thoughts?
