I have Samsung Tab and would like to use it as external monitor so I can have Voxengo Span or some Stereo Analyzer on it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
I tried Spacedesk, but latencies are too big.

 

I don't think it's possible without quite a bit of latency.
If it was a wired ethernet connection perhaps...

Wait! Why don't you try facetiming with your main monitor?

Forget about it. Like @Xupito said, too much lag with most screen extension software. Easier to buy a 7 "or 8" monitor with a VGA input, i went trough the same hassle.
There is an option to use the ipad with a tc electonic analyzer but its dependent on their hardware and the analyzers in the itunes store are useless for daw work.

 

duet display is made by ex-Apple employees, works perfect.

i use it as plugin controller and Monitor, most plugins (>90%) can be controlled nicely on the touchscreen, the experience is similar to real hardware

there is no noticeable lag or delay at all


(edit) its available for mac and pc but you need an iPad or iPhone (edit)

 

Thanks guys. In the meantime, I've found application called Splashtop and it works perfect (via Wi-Fi).
Latency is very very small. They also have another application called Wired XDisplay for connecting via USB. Will try that tomorrow.

 

Lag becomes a problem with big projects and lots of /vst`s, plugins, to me its annoying. Perhaps could be useful for small projects or mastering.
