Yeah i've been using Windows for media creation in some capacity for 15 years, I'm no stranger to this whatsoever. Your commentary that "internet based applications" and "production based applications" can't be mixed at all because of the OS itself is pure, rambling, nonsense. lol. However, I totally agree with tearing out telemetry and such tho, thats at least reasonable. Thats just the direction things are headed sadly.

But, at least we can agree on one thing, having separate actual backup images is crucial. Im a Macrium Reflect guy myself and that definitely has saved my and my friends' asses a few times, especially the boot sector repair.

Just ask your fellow travelers on this forum how OS bloatware and useless built-in autonomous internet services running amok works against their attempts to maintain a clean and stable working media production platform. Resulting issues arising from attempts at mixing the two applications are what a large percentage of the trouble threads started here are related to...

When I refer to "applications" I refer to the ROLE that machine build plays in ones computing arsenal. Which is why I will always advocate for keeping internet ROLE machines doing their thing and production machines OFFLINE (no direct internet connection) both mutually exclusive to one another except for a local backend admin lan with which they can share data.
