Anyone have a led mouse mat?

Discussion in 'Studio' started by Vincent Price, Jun 9, 2022.

  1. Hello,

Does anyone has one of those led mouse mats for your studio (that gamers typically tend to use)

    Are they any good?

This RGB lighting is a huge business for the manufacturers, you will also have been persuaded that you need something like that.
Everything must flash and glow colorfully.

If you really want to have it, read a few reviews.

Hcman RGB Gaming Mouse Pad, LED Mouse Pad with Non-Slip Rubber Bottom,
Mouse Pad for MacBook, Computer PC, Laptop, Desktop, 340 x 245 x 3 mm, Black

But why? You can get a good large mouse pad for $5-10, so why pay like $70-100 for one that has LEDs?

  5. Where are you looking? Never seen them for $70-$100

    And why NOT?
Is not my taste either, but some like it just more colorful than others. And if one can afford a few $$$ more, why not.

I have rgb motherboard, ram, video card, mouse and keyboard but mousepad is too much for me. It's an extra cable to get in the way for little benefit. You most likely have to be constantly running an extra application just to control it. I guess it comes down to how you value the aesthetic. Performance of the surfaces would obviously vary between brands just like old fashioned ones.

  9. Never said I was going to buy one, just wondering if people on here use them

I also use strumace pad which is good , I am pretty happy. And I also buy just 19$.

Quick answer. I have one that cost about £12.
I've had it for two years and it still works perfectly fine.

    Details are here.https://amzn.eu/d/je2XEYL

I tend to work in the dark, but I also just like lights and custom colour profiles.

Didn't notice your reply until now. All of the Corsair, Asus ROG and Logitech G LED mouse pads costs about $/€70-100 (atleast here in Sweden). Maybe you can get them for $/€50 on sale. The very cheapest ones I kind find are some crappy Deltaco ones for $/€40, and the most expensive is the Logitech G Powerplay for $/€125.

LED mouse pads aren’t as expensive as you said. If you don’t need a design, a regular black one can be as cheap as 9.9. Compared to regular mouse pads, it’s more of a desk mat type, covering the entire desk. Of course, custom designs will cost a bit more, and if you want to express your preferences, like with anime designs, the anime led mouse pad price will be relatively higher, especially for LED ones.

I have enough LEDs on my mouse. :bleh:

Btw, I can recommend this mouse, if you want to have about 12 (24 with the E-Shift function) buttons available for shortcuts or macros.
    It"s the EVGA X15

I hope it’s related but is there a mousepad that is super glide and won’t hurt wrist? Sometimes I spray surface cleaner if it starts to feel like any friction develops but wasn’t sure if a better mousepad material was out there.

I bought a memory foam palm rest, that supports my wrist, when working with my mouse.
As my fingers always tend to go numb, this was the best sollution for it, as there was almost none friction on the mouse pad with my hand.
