I have an Asus ROG GL503 laptop and I am perplexed by the networking. When downloading or uploading, there seems to be something limiting the speeds well below my broadband speeds (my Dell laptop gives me full speeds).

I read Asus Gamefirst app could be the issue so have removed it but doesn't seem to have made any difference.

Anyone else got an Asus ROG machine and similar issue?

I have an Asus ROG G512LV and have no issues. You need to provide more information though.

Are you using cable or Wi-fi?
What speed do you get now, and what did you have before?
Have you restarted your router recently?
Have you checked for firmware updates for your router?
Have you checked for BIOS/firmware/drivers updates for your computer?

Check the Asus site for firmware updates for your chipset (motherboard, wifi, LAN etc).

Do you have Turbo LAN installed? I had that for a while, found it to be a PITA and removed it

Using WiFi. The broadband should be getting to 8Mb upload (as it does on my Dell) but there seems to be a limited keeping it at 2MB steady. Router is restarted and using latest firmware etc. Latest BIOS and drivers on laptop too.
