I'm rocking 24Gb with my 2700k in a z68 chipset, I don't see why yours couldn't handle 32Gb, though not oficially supported by asus.

    These are cheap and reliable
    G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 32GB 4x8GB CL9

but I was not sure if they were compatible.

My fault. I was thinking it was a single DDR3 module (with 4 x 4GB "on board")

It's a package with 4 paired modules, 4gb each. To be safe you could buy them from 4m4z0n and return them in case they don't work with your mobo, though i think they'll work just fine

As with other motherboards from ASUS, the P8P67 comes with the “MemOK!” button, which allows you to test the compatibility of the memory modules that are installed.

It means you buy DDR3 at your own risk!!! :wtf:

That cpu doesn't affect the amount of RAM or the type of graphics card the mother board can handle, the second generation of intel core i3/i5/i7 go with h67/p67/z68 chipsets and all the characteristics are more or less the same alongside all the mother board manufacturers. Certain restrictions apply for example when your motherboard is a different size (ATX, micro ATX or mini ITX), or when you choose a higher or lower tier of the same model of motherboard (p8p67 pro/deluxe/etc.)

I've got great experiences with G.Skill RAM modules. Never had a problem with them and Gigabyte motherboards, which are usually more picky about RAM than Asus mobos, so don't worry, just go for it. ;) Are you going to run multiple virtual PC server with that? :) 32GB is like double overkill for running a DAW, and you do know that projects as big as that could take half an hour to save and load? Learn how to conserve memory for the sake of your nerves. :) My builds now usually have 8GB RAM and 16GB for those who run many Kontakt multisample instruments. Nobody needs 32GB of RAM except maybe Hans Zimmer. LOL It's not criticism, just that maybe half of that money could be better invested into something else like SSD, or better quality PSU. Just my humble opinion, of course...

    Cheers!

depending on what samples you used in kontakt, it could easily take up your ram if you are doing orchestrations. If you're just doing synths and stuff and like 5 instances of kontakt, then meh. but whatever you want op.

i5-5200k maxes out at 32gb on 2 channels, you should look for two dual channel kits 2 x ( 2 x 8 ) both kits at same specs DDR3 1333, look for best value in first place - no problem with higher mem clocks - sometimes a 1600 kit is cheaper than 1333
