The lack of 8-bit music during install has been an issue for me, but now I just open a random R2R keygen and I'm good.

Symlinks are VERY useful when your main drive is a small SSD.

    LOL that made my day...

Unless it's a portable version the usual rules of regular installers apply.

It's unhelpful if you keep all of your plugins/files on a seperate HDD/SSD but what I just do is move the VSTplugins folder to my VST folder of choice.

I, personally, can't stand the Symlink crap, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be on here.
I know people who don't fuck with VR Install because they usually don't (usually,) have an uninstaller, so, its really just preference.
But, if we're voting stuff off of AudioZ, how about Cymatics packs, StudioLinked VSTs and any "new" Trap drum pack? :bleh:

"No install" releases have been voted off, that's why I find surprising that unknown "Kontakt 6" tool not being banned... :lmao:

bluerover, your immense contribution above is appreciated......

all i hope to do is change in an installer the ProgramFiles\VstPlugins path to my well-working c:\vst target for all vst installs. i "aced" structured program design and logic course but never got to the next step of an actual C+ course, AND i'm sketchy on the environment variable practices for win7 ultimate x64 (and all others). the %COMMONPROGRAMFILES% stuff just too deep enough. SO........ it should be easy to do a find and replace in the .cmd install AND uninstall to direct things toward my C:\vst ???
also... speaking of cyrillic...... the readme file with synthmaster appears to be in just that form. ever a way to make those readme's legible?

thanks in advance ya buncha brainiacs :)

I think these symlink installers are actually very very powerful. But like this with bad instructions and so on... Not so much.

But the russian packing these has got the idea, with a little bit of work one could possibly install thousands of plugins in seconds if needed and leave the same way if needed

I've become a sucker for this no install versions and it's really sweet. Not thousands perhaps but I've all my VST/DAW software in symlink version. More than half of them not done by me.
The only one nobody seems to be able to convert is Line6 Helix Native.
I even managed to make a no install version of the bloatwared video editor Cyberlink PowerDirector, which takes all the bloatware problem away in one fell swoop.
    1. Learn to use and examine the already existing ones.
    2. Get "Total Uninstall". It can make a backup of a program with high chances of working on another Windows/PC. With that you've half of the work done.

3,4 and 5. Unfortunately there's no easy way lol
