Tried initial release. Pleased that they fixed the VST loading issue & added Magix plugin-ns.
Personally waiting until it is developed further if at all.

I tried it yesterday. Not sure for me, it offers anything over the old Acid Pro I loved.

    Main issue though
    ***** it would not import mp3 ****

I'm struggling to find if this is an issue with the prog, as Magix say a patch is being worked on....or something my end as others say it should work.

Is it just missing a codec?

Ah, I see from the changelog that the R2R release version has an issue with mp3 import!

This is apparently fixed in the latest version on sister site, released by P2P. I've not tried it yet

Talking about loop based daw, Acid was awesome at the end of the 90's (at that time developed by Sonic Foundry). The idea of simply drag-and-drop a loop file anf have it automatically adjusted to the tempo and key of the song was really innovative. Unfortunately it remained condemned to use in the studio: no live performance with Acid, in fact the only feature that the software lacked was the use on stage

then in the early 2000's Ableton Live arrived...
