So can anybody read Ableton Crash Report? So basically I give you the .zip file and you tell me why it crashes. Please do not answer if you don't know how to do it...

I found out how to read it. I suspect freezing tracks with heavy plugins cause the issue but have to investigate further.
    Got the exception code 0xc0000005
The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access
    .
Usually this error means you need to have admin rights on ableton .exe file, but since I already have that on admin it has to be something else.

    1) Basically, you download Visual Studio Express from here:
    https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/express/

    2) Hook off this while installing:

    3) Then you find the crash report here:
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live Reports

    4) Unzip it on desktop and open crash folder. Then right click and open both .dmp files (one at a time) with virtual studio:

Pretty easy but Virtual Studio is pretty big (9GB) with the extras you need. You can always just uninstall it after reading the crash files. If somebody have difficulties you can always send me the crash report and I can read it for you

Update Window 10 to the latest 1909 build. See if that helps

You don't need the whole of visual studio, just the debugger which can downloaded separately

I don't think that frozen tracks should be causing the issue. A frozen track is just an audio file basically and the plugins don't even get loaded or at least not activated. If it is a few seconds after the start of ableton it should be some initialization issue. Does it check the vst-plugins and everything ? the projects are the last thing that gets loaded i think. If it did work before, you might look at stuff you installed since the last time it worked.

Try these commands in Command Prompt as administrator:
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    DISM.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
    sfc /scannow

@Daskeladden Are you still experiencing these crashes in Suite 10?

    They just do minor repairs to Windows if you're missing some system files and stuff like that. Completely safe. At least do the;
    sfc /scannow
Also you could be missing a Media Feature Pack:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3145500/media-feature-pack-list-for-windows-n-editions
Scroll down and you will find the version you need and information how to install it (2004 build). I think if you have the Windows 10 N version of Windows it will fix your Ableton issue.

Also you should run the Ableton Live 10 Suite.exe file as administrator. The file is in this location: C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 10 Suite\Program

No, but I have not freezed a lot of tracks with heavy plugins lately

Do you have the Windows 10 N version or regular Home or Pro?
What kind of antivirus do you use? Try and turn it off then try start Ableton.
I don't remember if it's necessary to add things in the Host file when it comes to Ableton 10, do you use a pirated version of Ableton 10? If so what version and where have you downloaded it from?
The Host file is in this location:
    c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
Try and add the following 3 commands in the host file with the space between as seen in screenshot:

If a non-legit version of Ableton was calling out to any of those addresses, I would be extremely concerned and ditch that version completely.

I use Windows 10 Home and use Ableton Live 10 10.1.14 from the sister site, and if I have those addresses added in the host file, i use windows defender only and always have real time protection off when i try to open ableton

Have you tried to reset Ableton?

    1) Uninstall Ableton both 9 and 10
    2) In this location; C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Ableton
Delete the following folders both 9 and 10 of Ableton:

    3) Restart pc and install Ableton 10 again
