Does this show up when you log in on a different device, like a desktop.

Probability it is your app or device that is borked versus your twitter account.

Check on a different device, see what happens. If it is clean you know it's App or mobile device you are using. Try deleting the twitter app and clearing all caches, if it's persistent or you are on Android probably better to wipe the device back to factory or hard flash.

What do you mean exactly. Is this in your own account, on your timeline, showing as a tweet of yours? or is this a tweet of someone else that you can't get rid of on your personal home page (but that isn't visible on your profile for visitors)? or is this in your bio?

There is a section where you can check for connected applications/accounts.. check these:

Check all the links in here (especially connected apps):
    https://twitter.com/settings/apps_and_sessions
    and also here:
    https://twitter.com/settings/connected_accounts

I think it most likely would show under Apps and Sessions -> Connected apps. But could have something in any of those.

If you find anything under connected accounts you dont recognize, remove it. Then once done, reset your password again, if you found anything.

If still a problem, try contacting Twitter for help.

Edit: Oh I see now you got it figured out.

I'm happy someone talk about twitter, because I also have a question:

Sometimes I see a message, likely an answer, but it's completely out of context so it have almost no sense without the origin of the discussion, the original message... And I hate that!

What do you do to go back to it?

@Amore_de_la_Vida If they replied as part of a 'thread' (for lack of a better term), i.e. they actually clicked reply button on a post.... just simply click on the message and should reload and show the full conversation, and you'll see above what the response was to. However, if their reply was just put in as a regular comment (didn't click reply to another post), you're out of luck unless you find some context in their other posts/retweets.

Thanks a lot for your answer!
...Which confirm my doubts: ordinary comments are not really "traced" / "connected" to a thread (like in a forum for example, where you can always easily go back to the first post to see what this is about), I can often find a comment that despite my efforts I cannot retrace the real origin...

Twitter should learn a lot from the forum systems and frameworks (like the one we use now), since the time these systems became really sophisticated and adaptative, far more sophisticated than twitter itself...
