Any reason for using Little $nitch instead of Lulu (free)?

hosts file is not application specific. if you are using it to block surreptitious traffic to certain websites, you wouldn't want it to be.

As for the Apple system firewall, you can only allow/deny Applications. Not plugins. I already mentioned that. Stealth mode blocks outbound traffic, but only in response to incoming traffic attempts.

So you would block Logic? Because I do that also. Now if you think some plugin dev is able to inject into Logic and send data out, that sounds a bit unrealistic but possible. For most plugin users this will prevent all or almost all scenarios in reference to plugins that "phone home" with telemetry. LuLu will block any outbound traffic source you make a rule for, including Logic.

I do not discuss other network equiptment on this site.

This is exactly how I have the sites for these vendors. If I have a "Manager Program" like Native Access, etc from one of these companies; they are all blocked. Including iLok. You can disable LuLu temporarily in 2 mouse clicks.
