I've really been looking forward to this synth. It's taking a while to be released here but won't complain. At this point Ill probably just save up and buy it It is a fantastic sounding synth. Insanely so Any idea of an eta or a plain old 'itll never get released'. Any info is better than none at this point.

I tried to do the demo, time limit, demo expiry and whatnot removed, but nothing to do about preset recall, so it's pretty much useless.
Not at my level for now, good protection for sure. Also, I din't got my hands on full version, but I gave up, as the serial checking functions
are present in demo too and I really don't know where to start from on those. Seems we have to wait some more time.

 

Yes, no preset recall or automations of any kind in demo version. Can't remember if you can load banks or what not...

 

Nope. Can save preset but not recall or load from file presets or banks.
If I get my hands on full version I'll try to have a look.

 

I wonder if the saved presets from the demo version will load with the full version? Will have to find out, for now I simply took a snaphsot of the gui so i could recreate it later...

 

Ah, the good old recall sheet method. People now doesn't even imagine that for decades that was the only "total recall" method available
BTW the only reason not to disable preset saving too alongside loading, is the ability to recall the preset you made with demo with the full,
when you buy it full, so I don't even waste the time now to go to their website and find out if that's the case, cause it is for sure.

 

Yeah, it's kinda annoying with the lfos, effect sections, etc in other windows cause you have to save multiple images for the same preset. I ask about the saving because I could have sworn I read someone that not even the full version will load the presets of demo, but I may be wrong For now I'll do both though just in case

 

Similar thing like on the new HoRNets (Sybilla, Magnus etc…) but NOT the same.

So the recall presets limitation is apparently more difficult to unlock!

 

Would really like to know if this will ever get released. Sometimes stuff is released super fast, like the sampletank 3 Maybe its such a good synth there giving lots of time for synapse to rake in the dough. I'm cool with that sentiment though, but the wait is crazy *yes*

 

Also with Dune 1 there was a ton faulty release before a proper one finally was done.
There's a reason for that *yes* And this is harder.
BTW nothing is uncrackable, but it take lotta time.
Just finished today a little plug that took me almost 2weeks under gdb to reverse.
Just for a little thing almost nobody will notice (though being the best plug-in in its field).
Also, consider that not everything that has been cracked gets released to the masses,
teams have much more stuff than you imagine, and they have their well good reasons to keep it internal *yes*

 

Yeah, there are the actual serial checks in the demo (2) specific to save/load functions, but they point nowhere,
synapse deliberately broken functions. I'm no good at fishing so I dunno, seems hard btw.
I had a feeling it may be watermrked too

 

I never understand when people ask if there's any news about a release. If there were any news it would be a post.

Well there is news but we were just waiting for someone to open a topic on it to unleash all the goodies.

Only thing keeping me from buying is the GUI - must say that I'm really spoiled nowadays by U-he synths, they introduced GUI scaling by 10% lately with no quality degradation, I'd like to see sth like that on every new VST I consider buying.
Especially the central window is to small to work with for my taste.

It's almost certain there will be a reason release at some point, just wish he'd spend more time updating Orion 9

 

i think their team isn't big big big..

 

2-3 guys, but mostly 1 guy doing all the work. been 4 years since last update of orion

 

if they can't afford to hire a few extra guys, then...
the guy alone is rich..
or their softs aren't selling particularly well.
