So, I'm a total noob at things like Adobe software, but am wanting to upload some music to YouTube. I want to make some visuals for it, but just basic stuff, nothing too flashy.

Is there any easy to use software to create these without much knowledge?

AFTER EFFECTS and templates for music visualizers are the way to go. If you are interested I can PM you some links so I don´t break the forum rules.

I do some of those with Adobe Premiere, + i have 2 FX plugins (sapphire bfx and red giant universe).
you can do a lot with that as well.
After Effects can probably give way more impressive results but it is so hard & not intuitive at all (for a noob like me).
whereas in premiere i just put up some stock footage, throw some filter on top, add some text layers, give them different fx and thats it.

Check out Imaginando Visual Synthesizer. I got it on sale a few weeks ago but haven't had much time to play around with it yet. However, it looks very promising (and much easier to use than AE).
