Maybe too much delay and verb? Esp the same delay and verb.
The arp/delay synth really ' sticks out ' compared to the ' feat. ' vocals.

i ussualy keep away from giving mix advice, other guys love to do that :) - but i agree with what @dragonhill mentiones
i would say, the vocals are too low in volume and the music is to high in volume. somewhere between 0,5-1,5db adjustment no more.
the male vocals seems abit too "boxxy" sounding and it sounds like it could need a small boost in either the highs or just overallvolume

arragment wise, theres some funny stuff going on in the beginning that sounds off ?
i would spend some time making the sections leading into the chorus and verse working better, feels abit underwhelming as is. no need to go fancy just simple stuff.

I like it a lot. It reminds me the 80ties.
Nice melody. I like the feeling !

Nice track only thing missing is a real guitar, but that is my opinion. Track sounds real good to me other wise.

The female vocals are not upfront enough.

And I would prefer a modern sounding cover version, rather than a remake. But as a remake it's good.

Agree with the vocals being more upfront in the sense of cut out/made space for. Dig the style though.

My advice is that Soundcloud put a volume control of some sort on their external player. How annoying.

Especially in the UK or Australia. I got almost run down once in Hong Kong...

Regarding advices... everything is swimming in FX way too much. Make it drier. Otherwise, it doesn't sound that bad at all. Advice nr.2: now do something on your own.

This is a really cool song. I like the dreamy intense reverb/delays, has a 80's vibe! If you were pitching this to a label I would think they would probably hit the points that dragonhill mentioned but I think it works either way:) Thanks for sharing!

    Lovely song...

About the mix i have nothing new to add that hasnt been said before

Cut the reverb and delay levels... Theyre slightly swamping the mix and both male and female voices need to come more upfront...

Great track... Good mix... Enjoyed it!!! :)

Well, I checked the original from Sandra and it is drenched in reverbs and delays, too... that was a popular sound at the time. R.S probably tried to recreate that 80s "drenched sound", too.

Sandra's husband, Michael Cretu, who produced the original version of "Maria Magdalena" was the creator and producer of Enigma. Sandra also was a member. Cretu loved overusing the Yamaha REV1 and REV7 reverbs as well as the Eventide SP 2016 Effects Processor Reverb.

    thats better!

you could try adding harmonics to the bass track (what came to my mind) like when you hear them low distorted 808 sometimes boom boom
just an idea for fun great work!
