Any acoustic drum kits/samples recommendations? Like real drums. I am looking for .wav files (one hits/one shots/hits) if ever and not loops. Thank youuuu.

 

Drumforge and ggd comes to mind if you're into heavier style of music, for flexibility, just can't beat Addictive Drums.

 

Drumforge Drumshotz have some great one shots (particularly the Carson Slovak, Daniel Bergstrand, Christian Kohle and Billy Decker ones)
Toontrack Hansa, Death, Decades and Legacy of Rock are pretty good if you want detailed kits with round-robins.
TMKD, Drumwerks and That Sound hand out some great free samples. Also a lot of people in music production forums post surprisingly good sounding samples that they made during sessions.

I use one kit to add to my electronic dance music if necessary. Because I always liked the Phil Collins tom riff I bought this one (only using the wav files in a sampler):

Naughty Seal Perfect Drums

 

The developer's name is Naughty Seal Audio, and the product's name is Perfect Drums.

Well it's named after one of its founders: Adam "Nolly" Getgood. Really like their products though.

 

I actually talked to a tech guy there because my .component wasnt showing up after installation and he mentioned that they are currently working on Perfect Drums 2 and it will be announced in early Feb. Anyone who has purchased Perfect Drums 1 gets half off Perfect Drums 2... something I will definitely be doing

 

lol.... I was saying to "get perfect drums the program" instead of using sample packs, because perfect drums is rather intuitive and also kinda under the radar.

I agree on your comments about Perfect Drums! It is intuitive and is quite well-featured. The default processing is great for a quick mix but it's quite easy to get a custom mix going as well. Moreover, the sampler is a really great addition too. I just wish it had more velocity layers. Hopefully they add that in the next version.

 

Those drums sound extremely processed and aren't versatile at all. Good for Extreme Metal, but very little else.

 

I'm a bit of an OCD guy when it comes to finding good free resources for music production on the internet. I use 95% free stuff (not cracked or infringed, but actually free) in my music production setup. So I may help you out here. agreed AD, and I also like SD because of compatability with my module (even though RR isnt right). i dont care for GGD because its so massively overcompressed, you cant do anything with it except drop it in.
