Okay okay, I am aware that Empirical Labs are releasing the official Distressor plugin 'soon' but has anybody got any experience with the Antress version (It didn't seem to pop up in @ptpatty 's thread) ?

I've completely fallen in love with the concept of this compressor and WILL definitely buy the hardware one day. As for the plugin, I like how its been modelled in a similar fashion to the EL8

Its' 4:46am where I am and don't trust my brain to make any evaluations of the software, so hopefully somebody in the community has some input on how well it was programmed.

* Input level meter include (-12 dB detect).
* Input control (Relative threshold).
* Threshold level (0 to -36 dB).
* Ratio switch (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, 20:1 and Deathcore).
* Side-Chain Filter modes switch (HP, LP, BP).
* Pre-Coloring modes switch (HP, DS, HPDS).
* Attack time control (0.03 ms to 10 ms).
* Release time control (35 ms to 3 secs).
* Output control (0 to 36 dB).

 

Don't know about the software emulations but the real hardware is amazing. Get it, you will not be disappointed.
