Yeah if im gonna do 7 min tracks there need to be a 2 min change almost implementing another genre that fits the original genre, ive heard alot of producers changing it up big time, and its dope.

Yeah i know i have to step up, ive done this for 3 years active, 2 inactive cus of institutions and issues in life, so i think in 2 years if i keep it ut like im doing now, i will probably be good enough, i agree with what your saying and im experimenting with plugins that alter sounds like looperator, ds tantra, shaperbox and audio damage stuff, arturia fx plugins, if you slap the right preset or plugin on a beat it can become a groove thats just amazing, i know that this is what pros do, i just havent found my plugins and learnt them, its important to learn your plugins like you would an instrument, so that is my focus from now on, and also building really good sample libraries.

Thanks for your comment and that you think i can overcome the next steps.

You once sent me all your sounds, I think 2.6 GB or 1.6 GB, I had a different username. I listened to everything, and it's very good in terms of craftsmanship and sound, which means you have talent and love! Some songs are very good, some are good, and some are adequate!

For example, when you learn guitar, the beginning is very difficult and you have to practice. After a few weeks, you can learn the first chords, and after a few months, you can already play something. But to fully master an instrument, they say it takes about nine years! In our digital age, everything moves much faster.

But the brain learns a new program/knowledge and since our brain is very creative, other influences flow into it and in the end it should sound harmonious or clear. If you make punk music you only need 3 chords and a distortion pedal, but if you want to make demanding, successful music you have to practice a lot, learn, try things out, fail and keep going, because one thing should definitely not happen: that your listener says he sounds like this or that, but rather a real JonnyBoy should emerge, i.e. a unique style, you don't have to find it, it will come naturally if you keep going...!

You will know it intuitively, yes, that's it, I'll stick with that, that's how you develop your own things, sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't, now and then improvements, sometimes something completely new, that's up to your brain, which most people don't understand at all...!

Take more time... not everything has to be a hit, but this way you'll stay in shape, and I'm sure you'll deliver outstanding productions, maybe not in two years, but at the latest in three or five. Maximum pressure to perform always leads to failure and blockages.

The will to create something new is a challenge, namely solving a musical problem. As a thank you, your brain releases dopamine, the happiness hormone. There are also stress hormones like noradreline and adrenaline, which are counterproductive. There's even a human biorhythm, with good phases and bad phases.

When you start something, you mentally see the result, but the path there is rocky and difficult. Rest assured, life still holds many secrets and surprises. So it won't be boring; you're growing mentally and becoming more mature...!

Ahh yes i remember sending my old stuff, since then ive made 20 new tracks. So check them out on soundcloud if you havent,

Yeah exactly it takes 10 hrs and that is 5 years if you spend 8 hrs a day which is unlikely so about 10 years sounds right, i agree i need couple of years, and my creativity comes and goes, sometimes i dont do anything for days or weeks but ive been pushing lately and it helps, i overcome the obstacle sooner or later if i just produce even if its crap, so just delete and go next, yeah i need to take time and learn proper plugins especially fx plugins and then sample management which is already ok but not good enough, there is many different aspects when putting together a piece of music on an computer, live music is flowing, computer music is strategy and creative problem solving.

I find that i only need 4-5 notes. Many times 3 notes for a whole track, just jump in octaves and change rhythm and melodies, im not the best composer so i rely on my ears and how i feel when listening, mostly its decent but there is so much more one can do to make good music.

I find a lot of good producers and im thinking that id like to produce that way but then i listen to my music and as you said a style is emerging so i will try to keep going as i am, iv'e progressed a lot the last 6 months cus ive been pushing my self, and ive had some good days, it comes bad times aswell when i do nothing and that is why pushing is important cus u forget the problems after some time fiddeling with a track.

So music is definetly good for the brain as you said, my mood has increased alot since i made my new tracks.

You're analyzing the whole thing correctly; unfortunately, we're not robots or hit machines. But work pays off, or the hard-working are lucky, as they say, but you shouldn't overdo it either.

You've probably seen many artists with burnout syndrome or drug addiction to cope with their success.

That's the real art. Being creative is different than going to work; something new sometimes emerges through inspiration or luck. Furthermore, through your music, others in the world benefit from you. This way, everyone gives their best, and together we form creatives = creators and consumers = listeners.

You shouldn't be a copy of anything; you are unique, you even have your own fingerprint, and your brain is like no other.
It doesn't make you happy to chase after something you can't do yourself. We want to achieve contentment and serenity.

Today I read about a 300-liter-per-square-meter rainfall event in Argentina. 54 dead, power outage, save yourself if you can.
    We're in a good place.

New tracks are also the meaning and purpose of life.

Yeah i know, it can be dangerous to get too much pressure on one self, like the next tracks needs to be better, work faster etc and harder, i find taking small breaks days or a week gives new perspective plus the brain can process the development.

Nah i dont copy anything but i do listen to psychedelic techno, and its important too listen to other forms of music aswell, but i mainly stay in my genre, if i can improve my own music making it will become unique, its all about improvement and if you want to go famous one needs to alter the music, i wont alter my music but maybe after ive mastered my genre.

Yea i live in Sweden we have it pretty good, and functional social system, not the best but ok, so yeah we have everything we need while people die of sickness and starvation and all kinds of stuff

I've read things in the post that I wanted to tell you, but I can add that they sound good. You've reached a point where you can evolve from these ideas into something much bigger. I always say that if I write a good song, it's the beginning of doing better things. Of course, without putting too much pressure on yourself because it can affect you mentally.

Keep going, you're doing well and you can do better. Sometimes all we need is an encouraging message to motivate and inspire you. I hope it's one of those.

Thank you appreciate it, it gives more inspiration, ive done 20 tracks or so in 3-4 months beginning to feel some pressure so gonna lay back for a week or two then come back and just keep improving. Waiting a week or two gives you new "ears" to what you've made so a break is in order.

    Thnx for your input!!

Hi JohnnyBoy023, this song is cheerful and appeals to the masses. You'll reach more listeners with this kind of song.
Try applying to radio stations. When will you finally be on YouTube?

Yeah i know, its a new project, good to switch it up and way more harmonizing so thats good when it comes to electro pop, in techno 3 notes = gg hehe. I have labels messaging me but im declining unless i get a good one i feel i have more to learn im not there yet.

To be honest idk sh*t about social media, i just activated FB for like first time in 3 years, aslo insta, and spread some links so im "Trying" to build a base. My songs are on youtube distributed via soundcloud so if you search on them same name as on SC like Johnny Boy cynical mind the track pops up, i saw i had 1k+ on multiple tracks but i can't access it cus its uploaded via SC. I guess i have to make an account or something i have my personal youtube acc for all music i do and artists i follow etc so i would need a separate one, im really bad at social media stuff. It gives me a headache. :d

Welcome to the social media jungle!!! You should always use the same picture of yourself, or your logo, and the same name if possible.
You've already mastered SoundCloud. I just noticed YouTube has something from you, but it looks like two people.
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJ13370nqeNcW-N0LH6Kztw

I would upload everything you have there and link to it diligently. Promoting yourself can be stressful if you overdo it. You see the results, but the road can be rocky. With the right attitude, you'll make it. Write down your passwords separately. I've downloaded all my own videos just in case.
I'm only on KVR, YouTube, and SoundCloud, and I have my own website; anything else is too much for me.
Actually, you grow with the challenges... Step by step, my friend.

Why not take matters into your own hands and create your own new channel with your artist name, like on SoundCloud, for example! Why not create a list so you know where you are, so you can tell your listeners where to find you or how to contact you later?
