Yea that is correct and the main reason and whatever comes with it comes with it, you where right about gigs it is the only and best income for all musicians since the big corps screw us and even mega stars.
Some day i will try to connect to a label and maybe get a 1 hour set then back home, Boris Brejcha does a set and then just hangs with his closest friends, he is a good role model and i think something similar for me in the future who knows.

I also have the skills for mixing and mastering so i could potentially get a desk job doing commersials and other crap, sound is relative in everything we do, social media, tv, commercials, podcasts so my plan is to just become really good and get a job to become self sufficient.

Music will always be my "ventilation" and therapy for trauma and other issues, creativity is the best activity for almost everything instead of staring on a phone 6hrs a day and whatever. It has helped me a lot.

Thank you for your input, i agree with both comments.

Thought you'd like that. ;) Of course there's loads of releases there and they won't all be to your taste (nor mine) but there's also some of the best in genre you're ever likely to hear. One of my most listened to labels these days. Plus it's free, can't get better value than that... :)

No its pretty cool like a simplified band camp and no charges, i guess it's their way of getting their music out there just share it and if it's good enough ppl will listen, i have a new track any sec now. I made it on a rather high dosage of prescription speed. Like adderall and it gives me so much anxiety i dont know why i take them but i dedicated the track to anxiety, i will share it, its not the best work, i am way better at producing with just caffine.

Heres the track, let me know honestly what needs improving i kinda winged the track just to be done with it and go next.

ok i would say the sound design is not very versatile. maybe try to use different synths. but for the genre , they are strong, dark, powerful. good job !

I find the continuous bass drum until 2:00 a bit monotonous, the beginning is a bit boring, but at 2:37 it finally gets going. The song lacks a bit of salt and pepper, but otherwise it has room for improvement and a good basic structure. Towards the end, 6 minutes later, you find your old form again!

Yeah i guess i could have filtered and removed the kick a bit more, common thing to do and effective, yeah i made the track today in like 6 hrs so i know it can improve i just doesnt know exactly what to do, i listen to some rly good artists and try to figure it out, i have my own style for sure but its still mediocre. I think using shaperbox and making bits and snippets can help alot, i just import samples and process them a bit,

I try to make 3 different variations in a track and it works with a bit of work, but making pro music is gonna take some time, thats why i ask for feedback, thanks for your input it helps, also you can be more specific if you could, its hard to come up with solutions when its my track and not yours, i follow some rules and structure and thats it, there is always room for improvement, taking time and finding the right sounds like searching for days would prolly help. I do my tracks in 6-8 hrs so i work fast which is good but bad for improvement, really need to think hard about what sounds to use and synths etc.

    Thnx for your input

It's like in real life, there are songs that work right away and are good and unique.
There are songs that simply can't be improved, but they are songs and a creative product.

I wouldn't necessarily try to make songs on the spur of the moment, there has to be a basis, a feeling that it should sound like this or that, and that you then realize this feeling or perception. You know big bands that sometimes write songs that aren't so good but the song wanted to go out into the world.

When I listen to presets, I usually only like very few of them, that's because I personally have high standards. There are bands that I listen to every week and have done so for 15 years, they give me a feeling of peace with my soul.

The times on our globe, the world you live in, are not always so great and so is our music. We are a mirror image, just like rain and sunshine, storm and cold, warmth and beauty, there is also hatred and agitation and violence, which is also reflected in our music or lyrics.

Don't overtax yourself, you will automatically develop and get better, it just can't be forced, sometimes your own mental capacity is not so good. Always remember the songs you have already created and be happy about what you can already do. The journey is the goal.

Man thats some valid points, im not too unsecure about my music, i do it for mental freedom and ventilation, sure i try to produce like other artists, thats how music is progressed everybody has had an influense for their own music and basicly copied it made it their own, like in 1969 or so and earlier blues was the foundation for what became rock and roll, so its all connected. Making music relaxes me and i feel like im doing something of value instead of staring in a mobile phone and what not.

I feel pretty ok with my music, i am a bit self critical but if i wasn't there would be no progress but i agree with what ur saying, and the moment is the important part, not what comes later so like you said the journey is whats most important, and when im making music, im in the moment for hours, then when im done i become anxious, taking a walk in the nature is also rly good.

    Thnx for your comments.

You heal yourself and you've become freer without drugs. Life takes time and every now and then you think of something new, like Tai Chi for me, which helps with nervousness. You have a lovely spot on your doorstep. Breathe... breathe deeply... breathe out, 20 times in a row and your breathing will become more regular and deeper.

You can also count backwards from 50. Breathing too incorrectly and for too short a time.
Writing the lyrics to a song helps you process what you've experienced...!

Yeah i gotta stop taking adderall im strong minded so i push thorough but i feel the anxiety really hard, i will try to do some breathing exercises
I deal with my trauma with meds, sedatives, opiods mainly, just quit opiods and doing fine but taking adderall instead. IDK man feels like when im sober im depressed so i have to take meds to snap out of it. But im ok just a little bit too damaged and i have accepted it.

Thats why music helps so much!

For anxiety disorders, you should get therapy. Exercise, oxygen, sport, walking, jogging are helpful for anxiety and depression. The main thing is to move. If you have been sitting for two hours you should go for a walk. If you are working in front of a monitor you should do something other than look at data or information. Your brain also needs rest and not information stress.

Your body will always try to restore balance. This can take a few years, but it usually gets better then. The key is exercise and nature. Because only nature heals us. Try to incorporate regular exercise every day, drink plenty of water, and stay away from sugar and caffeine.

Write down the options on a piece of paper and hang it up in a visible place. Your self-healing is already underway and will continue. You can do it...!

Did you ever get a precise diagnosis from your doctor?

I understand all that ur saying most of it, ive been in top shape running 10km per day and gym 6 days a week, that fked me up also cus it made me stressed out to be in such a good shape, but moderate training is essential, ive spent two years front of an computer basically,. i do take walks and ive lost 22kg since december so im working on it, yeah i have arthritis, fibromyalgi , adhd, asperger, no diagnose considering my bigger issues cus they suck at the clinic, i know i have PTSD i did screening for it, almost full points, and there is nothing to do, PTSD cant be controlled it comes when it comes and triggers in certain situations, so i have a lot of issues, but i mean thats life, there is ppl who cant walk or see or have cancer and stuff, so i dont complain the best thing to do is exercise and making music, meditation is supposed to be good as well, i cant do it, dont have the patience but i will try the 20 breaths thing.

You're taking your life and your self-healing into your own hands.
These days, you can access the diverse knowledge available on the internet and see what helps you. Many affected people and healers write a lot about your illnesses. Illnesses are often the expression of inner conflict or the result of negative experiences. Some are inherited, others come from food, environmental pollution, and vaccines.

If you feel like it, you can do some Tai Chi exercises outside in nature. Tai Chi is performed without force, and if you practice Tai Chi regularly, you will feel better. There are books and videos available.

What is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)?

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) occurs as a delayed psychological reaction to an extremely stressful event, a situation of exceptional threat or catastrophic proportions. These experiences ( traumas ) can be of shorter or longer duration, such as serious accidents, violent crimes, natural disasters, or acts of war. Those affected experience feelings of fear and defenselessness, and, due to a lack of coping skills, feel helpless and lost control.

Typical of PTSD are the so-called symptoms of re-experiencing, which affect those affected during the day in the form of memories of the trauma, daydreams, or flashbacks, and at night in anxiety dreams. Avoidance symptoms, in a sense, are the counterpart to these, which usually occur parallel to the symptoms of re-experiencing: emotional numbness, indifference and apathy towards one's surroundings and other people, and active avoidance of activities and situations that could trigger memories of the trauma. Sometimes important aspects of the traumatic experience can no longer be (fully) recalled. A frequently associated state of autonomic hyperarousal is also present, which can manifest as sleep disturbances , irritability, difficulty concentrating, hypervigilance, or pronounced startle sensitivity.

The disorder arises as a possible consequence of the traumatic event. Such triggering experiences can plunge almost anyone into deep despair, which is different from adjustment disorders, which can be triggered by stressors of any severity. Secondary stress caused by traumatic events experienced by others (e.g., close relatives) can also trigger symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. The neurobiological process that occurs in the brain during PTSD has not yet been sufficiently researched.

More than half of all people are confronted with a traumatic event at least once in their lives. The likelihood of developing PTSD following a traumatic experience depends, among other things, on the type of trauma. In general, the risk is particularly high in cases of trauma caused by humans: up to a third of those affected develop PTSD after rape, other violent crimes and war trauma. Natural disasters, fires, chemical or traffic accidents and acute physical illnesses (e.g. heart attack, cancer) can also trigger post-traumatic stress disorder, but the relative risk is significantly lower in such cases. Averaged across all types of trauma, around 10% of all trauma victims develop PTSD. The lifetime prevalence, i.e. the probability of developing post-traumatic stress disorder over the course of a lifetime, is around 8% worldwide.
The terms posttraumatic stress disorder, posttraumatic stress syndrome, or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are used interchangeably. According to the International Classification of Mental Health (ICD -10), this mental illness is classified as a reaction to severe stress and an adjustment disorder.

Technical support: Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schnyder, Zurich (SGPP)

Forms or courses of post-traumatic stress disorders

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can occur in various forms and have different courses, depending on the individual's reaction to the traumatic event. Typical forms and courses include:

    • Acute PTSD:
This occurs in the first three months after the traumatic event and can be characterized by intense symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, and severe anxiety.
    • Chronic PTSD:
For some people, symptoms last longer than three months and become chronic. They can have long-term effects on daily life and require ongoing treatment.
    • Delayed PTSD:
Some people may not develop symptoms of PTSD until months or even years after the traumatic event. This may be due to repressed emotions or a delayed exposure to the effects of the trauma.
    • Complex PTSD:
This form often occurs in people who have been exposed to repeated traumatic experiences, such as victims of childhood abuse or long-term sexual abuse. It is often accompanied by additional symptoms, such as difficulty regulating emotions, problems with self-esteem, and dysfunctional relationships.
The course of PTSD can vary depending on individual factors and the type of trauma. Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to reduce the risk of long-term consequences and improve the quality of life of those affected.

Treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) typically requires a comprehensive therapeutic approach aimed at alleviating symptoms and improving the affected person's quality of life. There are various treatment methods that can be used individually or in combination, depending on the needs and severity of the condition. Common treatment options include:

    • Psychotherapy:
Psychotherapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma therapy , is a key component in the treatment of PTSD. Through talk therapy and specific techniques such as exposure and desensitization therapy, the affected person can learn to deal with the traumatic memories and develop new coping strategies.
    • Drug therapy:
Medications such as antidepressants or anxiolytics can be used to treat symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbances. However, they should be used in combination with psychotherapy and under medical supervision.
    • EMDR therapy:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy that aims to reduce the emotional burden of traumatic memories. Through targeted stimulation of specific brain areas during treatment, the symptoms of PTSD can be alleviated.
    • Self-help groups:
Exchanging experiences with other sufferers in self-help groups can be a valuable complement to professional therapy. Mutual support and shared coping skills can reduce feelings of isolation and open up new perspectives.
    • Lifestyle changes:
Healthy lifestyle habits such as regular exercise, a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and stress management can also help improve symptoms and build resilience.
Treating PTSD often requires patience and commitment, as symptoms can be persistent and the healing process takes time. Early diagnosis and an individually tailored treatment plan are crucial for successful management of the condition.

It's all very decent stuff, could get played in clubs but needs to be arranged better.

All too long, get 'em down to 4 mins or under, very hard to hold folks attention for so long, plus it's easier to manage.

You need to listen as you produce, sections as you work on them and the whole track, Does it flow? Does it go on a bit? Is it memorable?

Need some variation in drums and music add some vocals, etc, it's good stuff, you're nearly there, you only gotta step up half a gear man. You have the ability but you need to hone it, learn to be your fiercest critic, learn not to need advice, you already know how to put a very decent track together, next step is that extra half mile, a HIT, but only you can bring that outta you, learn to be more discerning.

Before you can produce anything of real quality, you have to be able to recognise that quality in others work.

Yeah i have inhereted my physical problems and thorough drug abuse ive gotten my issues 10 years earlier , so i need to step up while im in my mid 30s or late 30s, you have very good insights, appreciate it, thai chi is not for me but i do have a crosstrainer im gonna start using again 15 min per day, makes a lot of difference if one just does simple exercise consistently.

Being healthy is probably the best thing, however i get tired of being sober for a year or 2 and then i start self medicating, i handle it pretty well but it takes a toll on my body and my liver, heart etc. If i keep doing the same stuff im likely to die early, SO i need to shape up, and i will.

Lost 24kgs now so im starting to feel more energized and can jog if i want too, im gonna take up jogging this summer i love it, best exercise ever. Thanks for your thoughts and help. Appreciate it. A lot
