It needs something in the higher frequencies. A synth hook, a vocal line but something.

 

I agree, im trying to make my own vocal hooks, but its hard! Need a couple of plugins i cant afford like wormhole from zynaptiq would be good,
OFC there are alternatives. But i need to make my own vocals i know that, just haven't gotten to that stage yet, time to step up!

I would probably recommend trying different plugs/clippers/limiters on the master, the feeling is somehow strange...i get the production and stuff, but, idn...the tracks dont remind me of any other tracks "color" wise, sounds somehow submerged, weather u use some specific compressor or saturator, if you like share the unmastered version of the last track, it has a cool vibe and props also, nice work!!

 

I have no idea how it got 100k views. I updated the thread yesterday shared 3 more tracks, admin then moved me from Electronic thread to this new one, i do not generate bots and what not, wtf man thats just wierd, idk how it got so many views.

yeah i dont know i master my own tracks, pretty standard stuff. The unmastered tracks i have them but i dont see any reason uploading them but sending them to a engineer might be good, actually i did that with Sage audio i bought the subscription which gives 10 free masterings, i then mastered 3-4 tracks sent the mixdown to Sage then i A B the mastered versions and there was no difference really, i have Adam A77H speakers in a treated room so i know how it should sound, i also use headphones with sonarworks and the headphones treated with the EQ sounds like my system if i take my phones on and off, needless to say i have a pretty good acoustics treatment, also i studied music production in sweden, i have a certificate thats like below phd its called kandidatexamen, so during my education iv'e learnt alot about acoustics.

Now how i master my tracks can definitely improve, but i want to become pro at all the steps, production, mixing, mastering you know.

Thats why i created this thread and your input is important, the master is pretty pushed since i upload to soundcloud without restrictions maybe im saturating too much but i am sparingly saturating, mainly i use a multiband limiter for the loudness and dynamics.

It is the wierdest thing, i just dont understand how you blew your thread up man, but on the other hand, good for you and hope you excell (maybe new google algo thought you were Boris.B... ;) )

I mean, feedbacks is good and all, education too, but you see how tough is to position the "sound" even if you got all the things going including the wild view count, there´s plenty of producers who had barely highschool but a great taste and focus that translated to people that listen certain genre of music, so dont be afraid to swap out drums completely, use differend bass synth and so on...i mean, maybe the tracks sound so "engineered" and pure math that it has something missing(my honest feel response to it), almost like an AI "feel" to it..i dont think education is anything that separates you so i would not be relying on it, i´m not downplaying it, but use it as a secret weapon, dudes making bangers with very little knowledge, competition vs art...it is a wierd opposite relation to it, maybe when you define your art you can chase the views but who knows.

I saw some interview of Brian Eno, at one point he used 100€ monitors that never went under 80hz and had them under the samplers/reverbs on the desk..

Maybe you´re cleaning it too much, beating every single "spike" of life, doing too much.. nothing negative, you seem hard working, so keep going!

 

Im going to jump to the quote "AI Feel" look at my sondcloud, i make a track a day or so, sometimes a week goes by and then i finish some more, i got accused before in this thread actually i believe read it, ultimately i shared my projekt file, and then there was silence. So AI feel is just a wierd comment,

Regarding the feedback i do switch up things all the time, i'm making my own presets and i'm equally searching for presets in Nexus and Ompisphere mostly.

I make music 24/7 basically, the AI comments is just an insult, i have every project file ready to go. Ive asked ChatGPT a couple of questions, thats how much AI i ever used, my music is coming from me and ill prove it if i have too, there is an example of this already back in the thread. Lets just say i never heard from him again.

Also you learn as you go, i appreciate the feedback coming in, it makes me think different about my composing, which is a good thing. Stay objective i guess.

I dont think you do anything with the AI at all, no need to feel insulted, if i meant it in any way it would be as "too clean", "too perfect" in a sense, mix wise. Read it again and you´ll see what i meant.
You´re doing a good job so dont bother explaining people on forums whatever they hook on, i´m just as bold and blatant to say how i hear it coz i´m a "newcomer" into mastering and i´ve built speakers more than 20 years ago, i can hear fckn capacitor being swapped in a circut and i´ve heard a lot of techno, so if it helps it helps, if not.. just keep going. People´s opinions dont matter to a degree.. at all. Boris is Boris, you are you!

Yeah Boris is my main influense but there is others too and also i like to just make music clean with no reference and found that to be more creative, kind of winging it as i go. Boris has complete control over all aspects of making music so referensing him is hard AF, ive done a couple of successful "mix a like", nr 2 and 3 are some examples.

Main thing is to have fun and experiment, Boris quote aswell ;)

 

Mixing wise ive gotten pretty good at it, so if it sounds clean its just good house keeping, but i have alot of tracks on my SC page thats clusterfucked, getting a good mix is easier if you have less sounds, and so i try too keep my tracks to a minimum
