I know this is BIG, but I am gonna try

Is there any app for android phones that lets you stream-play a folder with mp3s [or wave or flac ] from your Google drive?

[i obv mean something that lets you have a continuous playback, maybe make playlists or something, I know you can already stream the single file]

Maybe it's something basic and I don't know...

PS not for Google drive? Would be cool for one drive or drop box also, thanks!

Or alternative idea?

 

I'm only playing from my SD card mp3s with Player Pro v5.35 (my best overall goto music player supports DSP enhancements)
Recently I killed my Galaxy S9 after like 5 years so I bought a "new one" I know it's only a refreshed version but it's perfect zero issues same battery performance etc...
And officially samsung says Galaxy S9 only supports up to 128 GB SD card...guess I bought a 512 GB card & it works flawlessly there were waiting times and some restarts needed but after the phone setup the card it's just flying ever since I'm very happy

This is probably incomplete.

I have a machine running 24/7 -> get a free hostname from ydns, FreeDNS or w/e, open the necessary ports on your router, set up your own server for the appropriate protocol.

I need this to be a 3rd party cloud solution -> find a cloud provider that also provides WebDAV mount support (Yandex, Infinity Cloud, Mail.ru, ...)

I just need to be able to sometimes play a couple files from GDrive -> there probably are file managers that support audio and GDrive on the app store.

This is too complicated -> sync your music folder to your phone with something like syncthing.

This is still too complicated -> buy an SD card.

The other solutions are much more complicated, like rooting your phone to set up rclone.
