"It may be corrupted, or some plugin caused an error while opening."

So I've been working hard on a track for like the last week and a half and today I come to open it to finish it up and I get that message. I'm genuinely crushed by seeing this, I'd put so much effort into the track and was hoping to upload later today but now...nothing. I've searched around and from the looks of things I won't be getting it back.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so, did you manage to recover your project (and how), or is it basically game over?

It's so frustrating as I save every 5 minutes to make sure I don't lose anything and now this. I guess in the end it's my fault for not backing up the project to a second save file but I honestly had no idea that this could happen. Any help you guys have is appreciated.

    plz help me guys. Thanx

    try look here

    C:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 11\Data\Backup

its a hidden folder so you could have to set show hidden folders,

Follow these steps to display hidden files and folders.

Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button ,
clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization,
and then clicking Folder Options.Click the View tab.
Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.

if you saved your tune every 5 minutes there should be lots of backups in there
so you can go over a few of them to see what one will open for you

just to add fl will backup files in there its self with-out you backing them up
its for when you overwright a FLP what auto save will do,

installed some new plugins lately? you could rename your plugin map and see if it can load without plugins, if it does you can narrow it down to the one who is causing this

hijack: what if missing samples from flp, how to I point the project file to location of the samples. Say a drive letter changed, how do i point the project to the different drive?

add the same sample folder to your fl studio browser and it wil try to reconnect the missing links itself, that works 99% of the time

@ tjgoa you should always make a zip back-up as well,
all your sounds will be saved in it and saves you alot of worry *yes*
