Hi! First post. made an account for this. Monterey Xprotect seems to be retroactively disabling the intel AS Self-Activator v3 from 2019 on my M1 mac. white box with just the AmpleSound logo bottom right. tested 12.5.1+ so far. (12.6 killed it, even with AS reinstall. then it worked with a fresh install of 12.5.1 but failed again after a day of reinstalling software) trying 12.4 next. rosetta2 but no xcode. other intel apps from the same year run fine but this one seems flagged as malware by the OS possibly. such a shame for such a great release, and now the ironic tease of M1-optimized 3.6 versions..

 

Try disabling SIP.

it's like the root part of the computer that doesn't go away even when you erase the machd remembers the app

 

for general knowledge- if that Had worked could SIP be re-enabled after running the activator? or would that break the authorizations?
the One time i tried disabling SIP for V.R's Retrologue share and browsed rapidgator links etc for like an hour before reactivating it, even with bitdefender traffic light on, was sudden Noticeable finder lag opening basic folders in Applications. just felt like something had changed for the worse. and the snappy M1 finder is worth preserving.. (blush emoji)
i'm new to the community, but from what ive gotten to work and not i suspect the AS collection may need a new self-activator since Monterey seems to break compatibility with older intel apps with each update..

It should come with the Activator. That's the only way.
