This config is more than enough.

To eliminate soundcard troubles, raise buffer/latency.

If it still do it, search for :
    "amd FX cpu throttling"

I got something like this, due to CPU throttling.
Everytime the CPU speed go down and up, there is a click....and it does this several times in a second ! Even on Youtube vids

You will find settings to do in the motherboard BIOS. You need (for an audio workstation) to eliminate ALL CPU throttling/economy modes.
And when you don't use the computer for some hours, just use Sleep Mode ;)

    Good luck !!! :mates:

I have a extreme 4 board myself, try disable cool'n quit in bios,
and there was something about some processors do not support dual screen but I think it is only applied for the A-series (gpu version)

    Disable "Cool'n'Quiet" In Bios.
In Windows energy Options choose High Performance mode.
In Windows advanced system options -> Perfomance -> expanded choose background services.

    also test this one https://bitsum.com/parkcontrol/

latency try using ASIO4All Drivers set between 256/512 if ya have to but 256 should be just right for a setting after installing

asio4all buffer size 512 shouldn't give you much noticable latency.

omnisphere is very heavy on cpu -> ditch it

First of all thanks to you all so far for your feedback

@Pipotron 3000 throttling is checked all good there

@Kwissbeats Cool`n Ouiet is Disabled Graphics comes from gtx 460

@Mechanix Cool`n Quiet is Disabled Runs in Hig Performance Mode Background Services

@ovalf and Studio 555 Asio4All checked makes it even worse on 512 Samples Note begins to hang

@Protools the FX Has 6 Cores dont think it can`t handle Omnisphere

thats why i asked here because all the options i gave him didnt work

and i tried also in Reaper same happens...

strangely this problem wont accur when the multi is set to just one Midi Channel

i let him run LatencyMon no Problems there System is good to Handle Audio

even checked the Performance settings in Windows energy in the high performance table making sure that

the CPU minimal setting is at 100 % and that the cooling is passive

if you all think that its not the setup then iam one step closer but not there :dunno:

    Check cpu usage during hicups.

    Try DPC latency checker:
    http://www.thesycon.de/eng/latency_check.shtml

If it reports troubles, disable hardware one after the other (wifi, lan, bluetooth...audiocard  )

    good info to start with.
In Windows energy Options choose High Performance mode.

don't know this mobo but id try this recommendation.
Disable "Cool'n'Quiet" In Bios.(after glancing at mobo manual this is equivalent of speed step on intel disable it)

also after glancing at manual try disabling Enhance Halt State (C1E) as can be problem for audio.

don't bother with asio4all as its a generic driver(for people that want to use shit on-board mobo sound cards or to try and do aggregated sound devices with a world of problems).
if you have to resort to this you should return any audio interface as it is not fit for purpose.

    use
    http://www.resplendence.com/latencymon

    instead of dpclatency checker

and under drivers if you get high execution time on ndis.sys or tcpip.sys its usually your network driver causing the problems.

don't worry about high page faults as latency mon produces them its self.

other than that then you need to start googling which ever .sys is causing the problem.

or it may be that that mobo has a bad implementation of usb and you need to get a separate pcie usb card.

cant really go much deeper as im not fond of amd for a daw computer and not really fond of usb audio interfaces apart from rme.

finally also try disabling High Precision Event Timer in bios as it looks like there could possibly be a issue with that mobos south-bridge.

    Try onboard audio.

Sometimed, ASIO4ALL create troubles when you try to move samplerate (ex: force 44kHz on 48kHz soundcard).
Stay away from it, until you are forced to.

And Grada is right : try onboard, even without ASIO. You will at least know if it is soundcard or not

audioplg said it perfectly. I routinely do the same on my audio computers. :mates:

As a sidenote, I would also try backing up the whole Windows 8 system partition [Hiren's BootCD has the right tools] and try installing Windows 7SP1 x64 instead, and do the same. Then if that doesn't help, just put Windows 8 partition back.

Well iam circeling around the problem and i think i get closer

i just checked the PC of my Buddy and i done all the tips and tricks...even hooked up another soundcard

to see if that causes the Problem no changes

i went down with him Track by Track with Omnisphere had studio One open and made Step by Step in adding Tracks to

see what happens opened also the Taskmanager to see how the CPU and the Ram will behave...

The CPU meter in Studio one rises and the poping starts...in the Taskmanager you only see 25% Cpu 21%

    Ram used

i replaced Patches to see if the less intense on ram amount would help in anyway came down to adding

Track 6 and it started again

as i said the problem wont occour if you run all the Patches on one Midichannel and one out

so i came now to this conclusion even with this setup you cant run Omnisphere in Multimode on that Pc

sad but it looks like this...

the most important thing for me was to know if his setup is fine enough and as no one said its to weak

the concolusion is just that he has to change his workflow to avoid the glitches...or move to Intel

Thanks everybody for your time and help

Luiz please use a title that's indicative of what the topic is about. Something with latency or even Frustrated With Production Experience On PC. That way when someone is searching for information on this subject your thread could be of use to them and will be easily located. On a side note I've actually made the suggestion to include tagging fields in an effort to make things even easier to find in the new AudioSex because our search could really use a major overhaul. However that all means nothing if people don't name their threads accordingly.
