this isnt the thread to argue right now about things. We're trying to keep this clean by posting and sending feedback for ambient tracks.

If people dont want to be apart of this it's their choice, just leave it alone...

This is reaaaally nice and would love to include this on the album. Very nice pace, mood, atmosphere and good swaying of chords and pads.

My one constructive criticism would be maybe it's better if you could reduce the amount of time on this track. I feel like where it seems to fade out at around the 7:00 minute is a perfect place to end it. After that those extra 3-4 minutes just seemed to drift on unnecessarily. Also since we are making an album, it's better if you end it towards that second last fadeout at around 7:00 minutes I was talking about.

10-12 minute tracks are fine but only if it actually really suits the compostional flow of the track, otherwise it just tends to drift on unnecessarily and doesn't really have to be that long. I feel people tend to make this mistake when making ambient...

Nevertheless it is a great track, if you can post a shorter version as I recommended, definately would love to put it on :)

    Thanks ( . ) ( . ) for your comments.. Really Appreciated! :)

I can certainly fade out at about the 7 min mark (I know the spot you mean) if that is what everyone decides would be best...but it will have to be a simple fade out of the Master two track as that's all I have... I recorded it live to a Stereo 2 track recording and then did some gentle mastering in Logic.

a simple fadeout is fine, it already seems like it's fading anyway so just ending it there and completing the fade out should do the trick :)

Once that's done repost and I'll include it in the completed tracks list.

Also, stay in touch with us because I am going to pm all the artists who made it in to send me their 24 bit .wavs so we can post produce them.

I have edited my original post and replaced the full length version with the edited "Album" version :)

    https://audiosex.pro/threads/ambient-album-official-thread-and-rules.22075/page-4#post-162744

I'll be here or hereabouts as always.... so please PM me when you need to contact me..

    Update:

I've also added the original track I intended to submit, to my Soundcloud account...

    https://soundcloud.com/free-me-from-the-dark

During the live performance, it turned into more of a 'Berlin Old School' kind of track rather than ambient, because my OB X died right at the beginning of the set so I combined two other parts of my planned set into one piece, Ghosts, instead.

Hey, stuff happens when you are jamming/performing live with really old gear, that you just don't expect, or plan for!

    :)

    Z.....

Niiiicely done. Congrats, you're in, glad to have you and appreciate your live performance :)

Just one more thing, what do you want your artist name to be as?

Also, does NC stand for North Carolina by any chance?

    Really, really, really.... like the new track Articstorm ( . ) ( . )

It gets across the feeling of the cold and the movement within it makes me feel like Im floating out there.. being blown around as the snow falls around me.

    Nice job indeed!

Hi everyone ! Here's my track...

ambient, hypnotic, train ride....a view from the window.....headphones on, lights off, close eyes....and as Jim Ladd used to say "Welcome to the theater of the mind!"

Beautiful Soundscape Beth... Very impressed indeed!

Reminds me slightly of "Little Fluffy Clouds" which is, by no means, a bad thing :)

Thank you for sharing your work with us all...

thank you too! it is a very special feeling when someone 'gets' what you are trying to achieve when creating music. So glad you enjoyed it as i was very nervous about putting it out there for all the world to hear :)

@Beth I really enjoyed your track. The spoken word was pretty cool and I think I now have a new tool to combat my extreme astronomical insomnia for tonight. Hahaha. Nicely done, mate. Also, you should never be nervous about putting your music out there. Although I am super shy in face to face contact, I never hold back when it comes to expressing thyself with music. Maybe that's just because music is my primary language, but you shouldn't be scared to put out stuff. Especially when it's as harmless and pretty as that track you shared. Some people will complain, but many will appreciate. You'd be surprised at how listeners aren't as ignorant as you may think. Everyone has a soft, heartfelt spot - and you may easily hit it for many with a cinematic track such as what I've heard. Never be shy with what you create, because confidence is the key to growth and virtually everything else. :guru:
Well done. I'd be quite intrigued to hear more. :mates:

you sound like a pro Beth... great idea to use the spoken word...not a very common addition..

if you ever feel like doing a tutorial on your creative process.. would be really interesting to see..
so this is what it feels like to have "production envy" :bleh:

    excellent...

    Wow thank you !!!

    @Herr Durr
Thanks too! Really happy people are giving my track a good reception
I don't think i am up to doing a video tutorial like the others Ive watched on here because 'technically' i am very much feeling my way in production. But i wouldn't mind making a post explaining my creative process and going through the elements of my track, plugins i used, settings etc if that is of any use to anyone?
