Great tunes! I really liked how you've implemented things so far. I haven't been able to listen in my mix room, so I can't really comment on the sound objectively.

About the guitars, I have found that the sound I need to play to isn't necessarily the sound I need to use when I mix. Normally when playing I like lots of gain, and scooped mids. It just gives me the feel I need for playing, but that sound definitely doesn't work for every mix situation. So I will record DI's of the guitar, and while mixing, I will dial in a sound that better fits the mix. This gives me great flexibility while mixing as I can use different amps, gain settings, tone settings, etc.
I don't know what you guitar recording process is, so if you want to outlay that, I'll try to give some tips if you feel like you need it. Personally, I mic up and record actual amps. If you use guitar sims, naturally the workflow would be different.
