I experience constant crashes when trying to use third-party M4L patches (effects / instruments) ever since I updated Live to the latest version (11.0.11) on the sister site. Is there any way to "repair" or reset Max 4 Live?

Okay: downloading the latest Max version 8.2.0, installing it and pointing to that new version in the Ableton preferences seems to have solved the issue for now.

Yeah, upgrading to latest Ableton and Max versions did the trick for me last month.

Finally able to use those olders packs without crazy CPU spikes

Still eagerly waiting on the new Ableton native though, it's still not perfectly optimized for M1 Macs.

I still get relatively high CPU load on Windows with latest R2R version and latest M4L installation. Can't pin it down to one particular plugin or Ableton device unfortunately, might be related to external issues (network adapter, driver issues etc)

It seems the Ableton version on the sister site doesn't come with the complete default set of instruments (I'm not talking about the additional and third party packs). For example: the guy in this video at minute 2:43 opens a patch that is not inside my version's library. Anyone has an idea where I can find these?

They seem to be default sample based instuments (as opposed to synth patches, which there a plenty of inside the sister site version) that are part of the regular Ableton library.

Does anyone know where I find Mono Step / Mono Sequencer? It's a stock M4L device that should come with Ableton Suite, but wasn't included in sistersite version.

on Abletons site they say "discontinued", so glad its here and on the other site for future downloads.

Yes, I guess it's "discontinued" since most of the devices now come preinstalled with Ableton Suite, so there is no longer a need for a seperate download of that pack. For some reason sister site version of Ableton Suite 11 doesn't have all of the M4L devices that should be there included. I'm not sure exactly why.
