Alicia Keys will not work :/

    hey @all,

    i missloaded the dynamics release - i know that the audiop2p version works(with kontakt 4 only - not sure if it works with kontakt 5).
    the error i got is that kontakt 5.0.1 will only load the 10 keys (low bass keys) and the rest not.
    i updated to 1.2 - normal imported and also no problems with cryption or something.
    but it will not load?!

    any ideas?!

    i dont want to load the audiop2p release again :/

    That sucks, been hearing of a lot of inconsistencies with Kontakt 5 -- so I am staying away for the moment.
    Do you know if the Library loaded properly with the Free Kontakt 5 Player ?
    There were similar problems and potential fixes using Kontakt 4 that you might try, see here:

    Other Options:

    • Downgrade to 4
    • Wait for a) Kontakt 5 (Library) compatibility updates b) Kontakt 5 (Application) compatibility updates
    • Buy Kontakt 5 and get true NI support

    Somebody may eventually figure out some wacky 10 step work-around that gets you to where you want to be -- ??

    gonna try it with 5.0.0 - looks like 5.0.1 is really weird!
    hmm last update came last year :(

    You can have all kontakt version installed if you want no need to downgrade and uninstall they all work independently.
    The only trouble you got is if you want install an update of the same version like kontakt 4.
    I.e kontakt 4.1.1 air and kontakt 4.2.3 assigne

    Then you have to first uninstall 4.1.1 if you have it installed becuase if you try to install 4.2.3 it uninstall 4.1.1 anyway.

    Then install 4.2.3 and rename the exe and dll files to something like kontakt 4.2.3.exe kontakt 4.2.3.dll and that goes for the dll 16 and 8 out also.And put them wherever you like on your hardrive.

    Then you have to uninstall 4.2.3 and install 4.1.1 NOW the kontakt 4.2.3 version works because it use the 4.1.1 engine and you can open LIB that only can be open with that version or later versions of kontakt.

    So if you have kontakt 5 keep it as you maybe have some lib that only will open in that version and use older version to open other lib that not work well with kontakt 5.

    That goes of course to all opther version you have installed i got kontakt 3.5 & 4.1.1 & 4.2.3 & 5 installed on my computer so i´m pretty safe.

    just tried it in kontakt 5.0.1 MAC 10.6.8 works fine for me

    u have also the dynamics release of the alicia keys installed and it works with the mac 5.0.1?

    ok i have the last 4 from assign here will try it! :wink:

    I'm using the ASSiGN 5.0.1 version of Kontakt and Alicia's Keys is working fine for me. But I honestly can't remember if I'm using the DYNAMiCS version of Alicia's Keys or not... Sorry!

    ya dynamics releases to me are more stable i have had bad luck with assign releases so even if it is something i really want i wait

    hmm i tried it on my notebook - there was the error with the low keys.
    gonna try it on my desktop comp with 5.0.0 ;) and then install the update to 5.0.1 and see if its work!
    yh its not possible to see which release u have when u deleted the original dvd image.
    audiop2p came unpacked unraring and importing and dynamics was contained in a dvd image after unraring!

    Using Alicia Keys with Kontakt 5.0 Assign and 5.01 Assign on 2 different machines. They both work with absolutely no problem. I would say do a total uninstall and reinstall.

    ok i downloaded the audiop2p version and now it works with version 5.0.1 ;)
    all keys loaded!

    She has earned enough money so far, so that she can afford not to.

    Actually hardly anyone notice that the library is called Alicia's Keys, and not just Alicia Keys; which is a self-evident, and yet great title.
