Just starting out with recording, mixing, mastering etc.... First proper attempt at anything.

I'm not a singer but can't find one at the minute with everything that's going on so had to do the vocals myself for now..!

This is really great! You need to make an album seriously

 

Awesome song... great performances all around... your vocals remind me of the singer from Jethro Tull.

One suggestion is to make some room for your vocals so that they are clearly audible... at the moment, I felt they were getting buried by the instrumental elements. Also another minor point... when the guitar solo kicks in, there seems to some harsh resonance in the right channel.

Great work... love it!

 

I would use a bit of EQing for the Guitar for the first around 10 seconds the high frequencies are
a bit harsh (Just my opinion )

The Song itself is nice

Really good for being your first mix! Your voice fits the music perfectly also so I don't think you really need to look for a singer. Looking forward to hearing more from you!

 

Good job all around , your vocals are good so don't think they are not, so just keep on singing.

 

Hey thanks man.....It's took me months to produce this ha ha.....got lot's of stuff to record. Just don't get much chance at the moment!

Hi...thanks! I had a mix with the vocals a bit more prominent but wasn't happy with my voice so did turn it down a bit haha....There are a few anomalies in the overall sound definitely....There's a bit of guitar feedback on the left guitar near the end of the song and I just couldn't get rid of it. I didn't have the time to re-record it at that point.....Might have to try one day as it annoys me!

 

Hi...Thanks...I will definitely give this a try.....I'm still trying to train my ears. The first few mixes when I listened back were extremely treble and harsh sounding....it's still a little too much to be honest.....I've basically been practising mixing etc on this song now for a good few months!

Hey thanks . My recording environment is probably the worst ever! Living room. No acoustic treatment and so I'm never happy with the sound of the vocals especially. I only have basic equipment at the minute and have a lot to learn....thanks again....

Hi thanks man.....Would you believe the only proper concert I've been to was on 13 June 1992 at Gateshead Stadium to see Dire Straits?!

Lyle Lovett and then Was(not was) were support.....I was only 19 at the time and it's still the loudest thing I've ever heard Ha Ha....
