Does anyone know of any developers who have ever put out an official QuadraSynth kontakt library with all the expansion roms? The closest thing I found was this free sample set (which isnt too bad actually): http://rhythm-lab.com/alesis-quadrasynth/

Also, I find it odd that Alesis has never released virtual versions of their hardware. That's quite a shame as I was a big fan of Alesis when I first started producing music. My first "professional" keyboard I could afford was a QS6 with all of the rom cards and I also owned a NanoSynth which I really enjoyed. There are a few generic vsts out there who have tried but are either no longer available or sub-par at best. I see DiscoDSP put out a free compressor vst based on the 3630 and there's some guy looking to emulate a dedicated Andromeda vsti in this thread: http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-57954.html

 

I had a hr-8 and a quardraverb. They were good at the time.

 

As far as fx units go, I definitely wouldnt mind seeing vst versions of Quadraverb or Midiverb. Last night I managed to find a vst version of Microverb but I don't have any experience with it so I wouldn't be able to compare:

I also managed to find a copy of DiscoDSP Nightshine which which apparently is a Alesis 3630 clone. I used the 3630 almost exclusively for parallel compression back in the day so I'm pretty excited to test that out:

By the way, did you mean HR-16 or MMT-8? I messed around with an SR-16 years ago which was pretty decent. I'm not too bothered with Alesis drum machine sounds since there's quite a few free libraries already available online. But man I would love to see a really nice QuadraSynth library or an Ion / Andromeda vsti. The closest thing I have right now to either are a few UVI presets for Falcon that sampled Andromeda.

Yes sorry I meant a HR-16.
I have seen some kontakt libraries of Alesis gear. I think you know the place I am talking about.
I went looking for that DiscoDSP Nightshine on google found it but DiscoDSP seems to be down.

 

HR-16 and Microverb here, and yes, those were good times!

 

Looks like Nicebeats put out QS6 disc in AKAI format ages ago

well, noone is stopping YOU from making a kontakt instrument from these samples

it probably wont take longer then a couple of hours

 

I already know how to do that, but I gotta find the samples first
