    best way for gotek usb emu is to buy one for round 20 bucks with oled...buy firmaware and usb to ttl ...and flash it...HxC is OG and best firmware..buy rotary knob mod on ebay for little money if you like...

    only if you dont have enough money buy usb emu.....better save up and buy scsi2sd.....it simply 10.000 times better cause you deal with a sd card as hdd and not tiny floppy emu parts...
    my ideal for s3200 now is having floppy drive and left from it where modrive would be a scsi2sd option...
    on s1000 i would never dumb the floppydrive...i would build scsi2sd internal in adition to floppydrive....

    ok loading times are faster with usb emu but if this is so immense i dont kno 100 % yet ,
    but i guess it is,..he he

    but when i load a floppydisk in the other s3200 it loads sort of fast...no complain
    but writing is where the hassle is maybe

    i managed to get an s3000XL for free a couple of months ago, but havent had time to try to integrate it into my setup yet.
    are you using it just to play with or have you integrated it into your music setup? i would love to get some inspiration :D

    i use em like most these days....for resampling or sampling drums and bass....
    check out if effectsboard is installed but also without its good machine...

    did anybody made use of an AKAI ME35T unit to trigger AKAI sampler as percussion synthesizer

    EDIT here is such an unit involved
