The new firmware beta for the MPC One, Live, and X, called "MPC 3" is available to us regular folks as of this morning.

YouTube beatmakers received the beta over a month ago, so it's been on people's minds and it's big news. I'm excited about it, but old-schoolers are apprehensive of what it means for their workflows. I'm still new to the MPC and I don't have much of a workflow established yet anyway.

 

Welcome to the family. A good time to cop an MPC. Free update too, which is a welcome change. Sadly still loads of extras that cost, but on the plus side, none of them are essential in my eyes and were not part of the original MPC ecosystem anyway. Classic users like myself won't be missing anything. Had to buy STEMS of course just cuz, but that's only £9.99.

If you applied via the public beta, I would assume they send you an email. I think you can still apply on the site. There is not a direct download from the MPC hardware available at this point, though you can register your beta serial on the hardware.

 

I signed up for the beta some time ago, but didn't receive an email. There's no direct download from the hardware. I went to the site, clicked download, and entered my info in. Then they sent me an email with download links for Mac and PC.
