Yes, there are several AI-powered tools available for removing artifacts (often from JPEG compression, pixelation, or other distortions) in images and videos. These are particularly useful for restoring compressed or low-quality media. Below, I'll outline some popular options based on current tools as of October 2025, focusing on free or accessible ones where possible. Most work online or via apps, and they leverage machine learning to automatically detect and smooth out unwanted noise, blocks, or blurring while preserving details.

    Recommended AI Artifact Removers
    I've categorized them for clarity:

Tool Name Type Key Features Free Tier? Best For
    Fotor JPEG Artifact Remover
Online tool One-click AI denoising and upscaling; handles pixelation and compression artifacts; supports batch processing and mobile apps. Yes (basic use) Quick fixes on photos from any device.

ImageUpscaler JPEG Artifacts Removal Online tool Fast AI-based restoration of sharpness and edges; automatic noise elimination; no sign-up required for single images. Yes (unlimited for small files) Web-compressed images or old photos.

OpenArt JPEG Artifact Remover Online upscaler AI enhancement with artifact cleanup; integrates with upscaling for higher resolution; simple upload-and-process workflow. Yes (limited exports) Creative projects or preparing images for print.

AKVIS Artifact Remover AI Desktop software (Windows/Mac) Four specialized neural networks for different artifact types; batch mode; free trial with full functionality. Free version available (with license key) Professional-grade image restoration.

Upscale.media Online tool AI-driven artifact removal plus resolution enhancement; supports various formats; quick previews. Yes (watermarked free tier) Low-res JPEGs needing detail recovery.

PixelBin Image Artifacts Remover API/Online Removes compression noise for crisper results; integrates with code (e.g., Python/JS); scalable for developers. Free trial Automated workflows or bulk processing.

Adobe Photoshop Neural Filter Desktop software AI-powered "JPEG Artifacts Removal" filter; adjustable strength (low/medium/high); part of broader editing suite. No (subscription-based) Advanced users combining with other edits.

TensorPix Deep Cleaner Online video tool AI filter for blocky compression artifacts in videos; restores clarity without quality loss; handles YouTube-style compression. Yes (limited minutes) Videos with upload-induced distortions.

How These Tools Work (General Overview)
    • AI Mechanism: They use convolutional neural networks (CNNs) or similar models trained on paired datasets of degraded vs. clean images/videos. The AI analyzes patterns like blockiness or ringing, then inpaints or smooths them intelligently—often in seconds.
    • Tips for Best Results:
      • Start with the highest-quality source file possible (e.g., avoid re-compressing).
      • For videos, tools like TensorPix are specialized, as general image tools won't handle motion well.
      • Test multiple tools, as results vary by artifact type (e.g., Fotor excels at pixelation, AKVIS at heavy JPEG noise).
      • If you're dealing with audio artifacts from AI-generated content, check tools like Adobe Enhance Speech, but that's a separate niche.
If this isn't the exact type of "AI artifact" you meant (e.g., something specific to generated content or code), provide more details for tailored suggestions! Many of these are free to try right away—just upload an image to their sites.

There is no tool called "AI Artefact remover". Especially not for music.

Simple : convert the audio to jpeg, use one of the tools recommanded by Grokiki and convert back to audio. What worries me most is that jpeg is a lossy format.
png 24 bit would probably give a better result.

@Legotron, what do you want to answer to his question :

    AI Artefact remover
Is anyone aware of such a tool ?

I don't have an answer, that's why I asked the AI!!!
Better an AI answer than no answer!!!

Well, don´t answer when you don´t know anything about it, also read if the answer is even audio related. With little normal google search you could suggest something like Zynaptiq Unchirp or Spectralayers voice enhancer module

I don't leave any question unanswered. Since no one answered, I asked the AI! I don't need your suggestions on how I should do things, because I'm already an adult. Please give the questioners the appropriate answer, thanks for your cooperation.

You even sound like an AI. Why are you being rude to members, again?

@Legotron correctly called you out for posting irrelevant AI slop. This is the 100th time you've done this and it needs to stop.
