In what world are people living on where those with money and power give either away without extracting a pound or two of flesh from the majority? Why would a bought and paid for fascist government who faithfully do as they're told dole with promises of being spared from annihilation dish out any money if they don't need to spread any wealth at all to all those mouths to feed, mega tons of waste to collect and to process and to manage the riots with lethal force that will ensue when 70% of the workforce becomes obsolete and become a true burden? Why wouldn't a global slaughter not be feasible if it could be managed to the benefit of the few?

What you are trying to simplfy is a complex social construct which can be influenced and altered by a multitude of both inside and outside factors.

Being out of work will have different outcomes and effects depending on which country the unemployed person is living in.

To keep on topic I have used a.i. to write the following...

Difference in Happiness of Unemployed Individuals in Wealthy and Poor Countries

Unemployment is a significant issue faced by many individuals around the world, affecting their overall well-being and happiness. The difference in happiness between unemployed individuals in wealthy countries with good benefit payments and those in poor countries with low benefit payments can be attributed to various factors, including financial stability, social support, and access to resources.

In wealthy countries, unemployment benefits generally provide a higher level of financial support, allowing individuals to maintain a reasonable quality of life while they search for new employment opportunities. This financial stability can lead to increased happiness, as individuals can continue to afford basic necessities such as food, housing, and healthcare. Additionally, the availability of social support networks in wealthy countries, such as friends, family, and community organizations, can provide emotional and practical assistance, further contributing to the happiness of unemployed individuals.

In poor countries, on the other hand, unemployment benefits are often insufficient to cover basic living expenses, leading to increased stress and anxiety among unemployed individuals. This financial insecurity can negatively impact mental health and happiness, as individuals struggle to meet their basic needs. Moreover, the lack of social support networks in poor countries can exacerbate feelings of isolation and despair among unemployed individuals, making it more challenging for them to maintain a positive outlook on their situation.

Furthermore, access to resources and opportunities for skill development and job searching can vary greatly between wealthy and poor countries. In wealthy countries, individuals often have access to better-quality job search resources, such as job fairs, online job portals, and career counseling services, which can improve their chances of finding suitable employment more quickly. In contrast, poor countries may lack these resources, leading to longer periods of unemployment and increased feelings of hopelessness and frustration.

In conclusion, the happiness of unemployed individuals in wealthy countries with good benefit payments is generally higher than that of unemployed individuals in poor countries with low benefit payments. This difference can be attributed to factors such as financial stability, social support, and access to resources, which are more readily available in wealthier nations. As a result, it is crucial for governments and organizations in poor countries to invest in improving unemployment benefits, social support networks, and job search resources to help alleviate the negative impact of unemployment on individual happiness and well-being.

Just imagine 2-3 billion people in a position similar to yours. Soon, you might have to divide the amount of money you receive in sickness benefits by ten (Roughly 208 million people are currently unemployed worldwide.) Feeling useless or not is the last thing that matters when you are socially deemed and treated as such.

That's what humanity needed throughout its entire history but never received. If it hadn't been this way, we wouldn't be where we are now.
The belief that humanity is wise in the end is our greatest blunder.

Something else comes to mind. For those who have or will have children, the generation of the future.
(At least, if they are not bred in incubators).
But what will the next generation do with their lives, where will they find inspiration in this new world,
where challenges, choices and opportunities have changed or disappeared?

Jobs: a majority of processes will be taken over by technology. What remains for humans will be determined by it:
Technology determines, people supplement. This is already partially the case now, but the ratio will change.
There will be less room for imagination, inventiveness, rethinking and other things that make life fun and enjoyable.

Personally, I hope for a countermovement, that humanity will stand up for what we want and need.
If we don't, I fear that the meaning of our existence may disappear.

Furthermore, excessive progression of reliance on machines increasingly cripples humanity. We are now at a point where we borrow consciousness and intelligence themselves. See Hegel's discussion of the dialectic of the Master and Slave.
