https://www.schillingshow.com/2022/...from-taylor-to-martin-guitar-in-agt-audition/ My wife complimented me on my sharp eyes. How is it the young lady who comes on starts with a Taylor guitar, and after all the accolades about her 'genuine' performance, she walks off stage with a Martin guitar? Not saying she's not the real deal and her performance wasn't real, but I now have serious doubts (more than before) about everything AGT puts out there. It appears everything is scripted - from the panel's questions, the after-comments, all of it. And while I'm on a rant, how about all the contestants coming on stage only to 'play a card' first? "Yes, judge me on my talent, but not before you hear my sad-case story". Talent before all else? No - not on AGT. It gets tiresome ... "because I came out to my parents / because I was in a fire and lost my mom / because I was ignored or treated with bigotry / because I suffer from XYZ - you should all regard my upcoming performance as being superior and more noteworthy than 'dull joe-normal's' performance". I have a serious health issue that limits my ability to do anything a lot of the time (music, housework, regular work, etc.). But would I allow that to be the low-hanging fruit for a show like AGT in order for my song to be heard? Nah. Integrity matters. Either I'm talented or not. You don't need my story to know that. Rant over.
It's ironic you say that. The guy in seat 84A also wrote the exact same thing, in Spanish on an Index card he keeps in his left ear.
Maybe she lifted it for a better ride backstage.. fuck id take Martin over Taylor any day of the week
