Tell that to Bach & Haydyn. Sure as far as Bach & Haydn, Pop culture is all about extreme youth, pre-school, teen age music, but sophisticated, well thought out composition, the ELDERS have it and always will. Unfortunately, the empty youth chasing fame and adoration will commit suicide and die out quickly despite their millions....

You do have a point and as we get older our youthful exuberance lessens and the energy evolves into as you say something more Human. That doesn't mean that we are finished after this age as some artists best works have been accomplished after this age.
Think of "Out Of Time" and "Automatic For The People" albums by REM. "Blood on The Tracks" & "Time Out Of Mind" by Bob Dylan and Beethovens 9th Symphony! It isn't black and white and there are a lot of exeptions.
Unfortunately The Rolling Stones, and some other groups did do their best work before the age of 30 and that holds true but to just say that "After 30 Musical Talent Disappears" is a false assumption so lets agree to differ on this one and put it to rest!

Thank you! That's exactly what I'm saying but everyone wants to fight me! Jazz, for example, inverts this "truism"--jazz musicians do their best work way after 30. So, I'm not being dogmatic here...it depends on the genre.

Now you're off again!!! Blatant dogmatic genre-ist ageism!! I feel a video coming on.

I think I'm evolving backwards because I got tired of intricate hip hop lyrics (except for a few) and find the mind knumbing acoustics of mumble rap to be more soothing at the moment... Must be all this heron I'm doing.....

It possibly does black.africa.zulu.x but at the end of the day "Talent Will Out" according to the individual regardless of their age.
I don't regard these types of assumptions as true-isms as they fall flat from reality and are just soundbites really! (To a point) but with some truths mixed in.
No matter how you put your point across you are always going to come up against opposite views and it becomes an endless merry go round of who is right and who is not! There is no right and wrong here but differences of opinion. Reality continues regardless.

Do you expect hip-hop to live for 30+ years? No. It always evolves, every damn decade. 2010's hiphop lasted for 8 years and now it's transitioning to a chill slow vibe.. everyone trying to use reverb and ambience. So those who fail to evolve will die in their own genre that made them.

@digitaldragon hit it.. right on... disingenuous loaded premise with a limited general basis in fact, tossed out
with an inflammatory air of certitude, inviting the masses to react...

tl;dr ? : troll thread.. with denial by said troll to vouch for his "sincerity"

it is what it is ...

11 pages and this remains unresolved ? Wtf lol... I'll try one last time.
Losing inspiration is not losing talent. Only talent-less people will say so because they cannot distinguish the two. Many artists lose focus and/or momentum in their creative work when becoming of age because of the lack of inspiration. True, after a certain age you may gradually become more cynical and a "been there done that" type of person. Many things that seemed appealing now they simply don't. Enough artists fight with depression, drug addiction and other mind boggling situations. All this doesn't mean you 've lost what made you who you are in the first place. You simply can't lose your traits and artistic talent is one of them. You may lose the will to create something anew or stop giving the same effort to your creations, but your gifts are there always forever sewn to your existence.
Now i read all these examples like the Rolling Stones this and that and blah blah. What is wrong with you people, huh ? Very few if any here have the knowledge to be entitled to express an authentic opinion about the Stones. They alone, are a subject to study worth of thousands of pages written so far.
I read some of you saying they did their best work before they were 30. And what does this even mean lol... Even if i would accept this for one sec, when you are on top of your game and you possess heaps of talent, even a less inspired performance is what all the rest still try to reach. Any of you can match what the Stones did after 30, Goats Head Soup, It's only Rocknroll, Black and Blue, Some Girls, Emotional Resque, Tattoo you, Undercover etc, be my guest to present your music. Take these albums, put another name for the band and you still have an artistic body of work enough to be recognized as nothing less but legendary. So politely stop, listen to those albums at least 20 times each and then come up with what the Stones did or did not after 30 yo, because it is, to say the least, an ignorant view.
    Thank you for your time.
    Cheers :)
EDIT: So, @black.afrika.zulu.x , my bottom line is your OP was falsely expressed. Most likely you meant inspiration. But, if you can't distinguish a person's permanent traits from what their temporary state of being expresses in a given time, i will politely say without meaning any offense, you still need to mature further on.
You may lose your inspiration but you CANNOT lose your talent even if you want to :)

No, it was resolved in the OP. Just a lot of grumpy old folk don't like it, hence 11 pages. :D

    FUCK YOU IDIOT! FUCK YOU!!!!

    [only kidding]

No video. I don't believe it.

thanks for stating the true point and intention of OP's assertion.. oh and I don't usually go for it..
but FUCK YOU very much too :shalom:

an example is just an example, and one counterexample is not a proof
several of Michael Jackon's biggest hits.. not written by him...
"Thriller" ? Rod Temperton... and when they were the young Jackson 5 ?
"I'll be there" Wilie Hutch et al. .

Maybe it's time to fire up the ol' ignore list again,
calling out fallacies and absurdity is only good for half a laugh, and a very slow clap

    Fuck me man!
Let's all fuck together and have a grand time!
Differences apart we all have an opinion and there is really no right or wrong. It's just a matter of personal taste really.
At the end of the day I think we can agree that we are not past it over the age of 30.
    Or can we?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????.
