Not your fault. I have tried every new major version release. I get much faster & consistent results using the stock plugins in Reaper, Pro tools and now, Logic Pro X.

The Weiss plugins from Softube are excellent for 2Bus processing.

Autism and the frequent disconnect between myself and other English-speaking mammals does tend to create distortions in communication. That isn't surprising to me.

The request for examples is a worthwhile call - I thought about doing that but I don't really keep unmastered versions of work I do online once I get it mastered and done. If it helps all the same, I'll try something.

Here is a relatively recent song I've finished as a commission job. This track is Unmastered. I consider the track and its mixing "finished" and my commissioner is happy with it as well.

Here is another relatively recent track that is mastered and has been released.

Obviously there is a fairly big disparity here, the unmastered track is largely Roland Sound Canvas and intentionally old instruments to complete the aesthetic goal while the mastered track uses more modern Kontakt, EWQL and Omnisphere sounds. However, I chose these songs as they are both intended to be dense, energy-driven tracks with fullness from top to bottom and both follow my general MIXING criteria - all of my songs intend to have a rather dense bass, a wetness overall and some airy high-end to make it feel "opened" up.

So let's see if that works.

Thanks for sharing your work Meteo! dont even name any autism or language problems pal, your questions are fine, just thought it could help everyone to hear some example.

those two tracks sound ok mixed. critique then, whats your opinion on both? imho they sound a bit flat with un-separated image of the channels, they definitely lack a touch of low freq and probably a bit more of air (highest freq).

a stab in the dark is you are to careful? maybe "afraid" of coloring the sound more in your own taste? because the middle frequencies are pretty ok and they are often the hardest for many people to get tamed.

hope others have a say here and share their opinion
