    Advanced Compression Techniques Simplified

Dynamics techniques are some of the most important techniques in audio recording.
There are some very powerful advanced techniques used by the pros that the average recording enthusiast does not utilize.
These techniques VERY often set apart the professional from the armature.
In the past these techniques have been viewed as complicated and difficult.
In this video we simplify a full range of very powerful dynamics control and reshaping techniques, complete with examples.
Some of the techniques we explain and teach in this video are:

    Parallel Compression
    Upward Compression
    Upward Expansion
    Downward Expansion
    Downward Compression
    Vintage Technique's
    Vintage Design and Differences
    VCA
    Vari-Mu
    FET
    Optical
    Electro
    Auto-summing Peak Limiters
    Multiband Limiters
    Multiband Compressors
    Expansion
    Reshaping Dynamics
    Macro-dynamics
    Micro-dynamics
Producers Choice of Compressor for each Instrument
    Characteristic's of Different Compressors
    Tape Emulation
    Producers Dynamics Tricks

Compression is overrated... :) RAR is the best, closely followed by 7Z. [joke] Really, it's mostly needed only on *some* drums, bass and vocals. hmm "only" lol. Ears and EQ is the main shit. ;) However, if you have shitty sounds and shitty arrangement, nothing will help you to get professionally sounding results.

    Cheers!

Ah well, another video showing the never-shown-before, must-know invaluable secrets of the stars, which is more important than using your own ears and techniques, of course.

Interesting. Wasn't it the very Bruce Swedien who's one of the most famous propagators of *not using compression*?

BTW, while fighting for free speech on the Internet, why not also fight against the worldwide loudness war...

lol i guess the guy that put the new tutorials up might have dyslexia too, i agree with good gainstaging mixed with eq, compression would be used less but it depends on the circumstances of the genre of music in a sense.....
