Thats maybe a little bit unusual, but I want to add Release to a Kick sample. The problem is reverbs dont really make the job since they actually make to much/something different, I just want the Kick the, well, dont end that abrupt... Im not sure if its clear what I mean... For example on many (or almost all) synthesizers you have the ADSR filters, and I want the R, the release. I want to add it to my kick (actually layered kicks) to let the kick sound softer, and mix in to the rest of the song...
    Anyone any ideas?

Try SPL Transient designer to extend the release.
If one isn't giving results add another one...

Two in a row should do it definitely...

    200 Dollars?!?!?!?!

I know many of you dont care because they download a cracked version...

Any free or low priced alterative? (should I just googel for transient designers?)

Edit: I found Transientand Dominion on BPB, they kind of do what I wanted but not exactly...

In dance music many people add a low sine wave under their kick which carries on after the kick release.

just play around with the pitch and length, and make sure the 2 dont clash.

Kick is pithed sine wave, as poster above mention just make tail how long you want it and layer it, you are layering kicks anyways

    Also match the key http://liutaiomottola.com/formulae/freqtab.htm

If your kick is ending not so smooth, than just open audio file and make fade out, if it's still too short than what I wrote above

if you want to find out the frequency of your kick, pitch it up 36 or 48 semi tones and use a spectrum to get the frequency. you will get a distinct peak and not some wide bump where you need to guess what the frequency is.

you can find some freeware transient designers there, and they all cost 200 Dollar less than the one mentioned before :)

Or you can find a single cycle loop in the kick tail (a sine really) and adress velocity to various parameters, like decay and/or release/sustain (soft = shorter. harder = longer). Another trick to do is to change/offset the sample start point (to "remove" the transient) to make the kick appear "softer", just like you can make ghost-notes with snare samples.

Just for the record, SPL Transient Designer rule them all, make comparison by yourself, I did it when someone said that Native's one is better *yes*
