For years, I have been using the "Add Library.command" to batch add libraries.

Ever since updating the OS from Ventura to Sonoma, the "Add Library.command" has failed to work as it used to (neither individually nor batch). Some libraries might show up in the library with "Library Not Found", some won't show up at all.

Now I am resorting to using Kontakt 5.72 to individually add libraries so they show up in Kontakt 7.10.6.

Am I missing something obvious?

I have tried reinstalling Native Access with the latest version. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Kontakt.

I have also tried using KLU, but get:
"An exception of class OutOfBoundsException was not handled. The application must shut down."
every time I try to add a library.

error for many users.

 

I don't think that is reported for "many" users unless there is something else going on incorrectly with their system or approach to installing it. Or have been futzing with nicnt numbers and whatnot, as users/providers/people who know what is actually going on under the hood here like Talula or Fred Bloggs will warn against, or advise on how to tread cautiously, as it can lead to future problems etc.

I would be a little concerned about that if I was getting those errors. Whenever I get something weird on a KLU report, I deal with it.. but I have no problems at all with Sonoma and HCiSO's Kontakt 7.10.6 and KLU 2 (latest) etc... and I've got 220+ libs on there in addition to the thousands of others I have that don't require NI's stupid licensing portal....

I could be wrong (wouldn't the first time), but KLU 2 is a robust and amazing utility if used correctly, and reading the faq's/threads closely and clearly adhering to them... if I was getting those kind of error messages I would be more inclined to readdress my Kontakt install (version/releaser/source etc) then I would be to pile more bad on bad... especially now that you are in Sonoma land and moved macOS's etc.

And also, I've never even looked at Native Access, let alone installed it, as while I'm a legit owner of NI Ultimate, I realized I don't use any of their stuff anymore outside of Kontakt and the random try out of the new Guitar Rig or something, as sadly, things like Absynth and whatnot are being deprecated/abandoned for the most part, and I haven't felt inclined of late to go back down the Reaktor hole that I used to spend time in as I fear the same for that... so... I see a Native Access something in my users/shared/whatever folder on my boot drive, but I don't have native access installed as an app or anything... and haven't needed to...

 

it is something wrong at your system, because some of my friends updated to Sonoma and KLU working on their mac's (Intel and M).
the one requirement - disable Gatekeeper. and everything is fine.
