    Hello Guys
    - I use the DoubleY KLM 3 tool to add libraries to Kontakt in Windows so they show up in the Library browser along with the wallpaper. But there is no Mac version of KLM. Any you guys know if there is a Mac equivalent of the Windows registry hack procedure to get the libraries all lined up in the library browser in Kontakt on Mac???
    all the best

    No software available for Mac. You have to do it manually. I did it the "economic" way. :rofl:
    1-3 folders for each company, dependent on the amount and size of the libraries you have.
    One single .nicnt, one single black wallpaper with the company name on it - ready. Works fine.
    For single libraries of a special genre i created a genre library, for example "Atmospheres Collection" or "Ethno Collection".
    In case i want to add a new library, i just throw it into the company or genre root folder.
    Exceptions: libraries with an own factory .nicnt.

    But how can you create a .nicnt file by yourself?

    Thank you Araun - that method sounds promising. Can you give further details on how exactly to create the .nicnt files

    You can open and edit nicnt's with TextEdit on Mac, it doesn't require another software.
    Use that given CineTom example from the tutorial.

    It looks like this method is used on Mac:

    "1. go to Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences
    2. locate one .plist file for example com.native-instruments.Symphobia.plist and copy and paste it
    3. rename it to your desired library name e.g com.native-instruments.Tonehammer Waterphone.plist
    4. open it with Plist Pro and edit it by deleting all its entries except : a. ContentDir and b. Visibility (which needs to be set to 3)
    5. now open com.native-instruments.Content.plist
    6. create a new sibling and name is something like k2libxxxx (where xxxx use any 4 digit numbers, NOT the same as any other existing entries in the file.. So for example k2lib0001 and name it Tonehammer Waterphone
    7. Point your library's location under ContentDir in the com.native-instruments.Tonehammer Waterphone.plist
    8. Place the wallpaper.png
    9. Open Kontakt ... and voila!"

    oisinn, you don't need to make this plist thing. It was necessary in former times, as they were nkx/nkc files only.
    Just create a nicnt, that's all. Kontakt itself creates plist, when a library has been added.
    SirSillySausage has given you the link. Download CineTom example. Open nicnt with TextEdit. It looks like this:

    <ProductHints spec="1.0.9">

    <Product version="1">
    <Company>CineSamples</Company>
    <Name>CineToms 2</Name>
    <RegKey>CineToms 2</RegKey>
    <Type>Content</Type>
    <PoweredBy>Kontakt</PoweredBy>
    <Icon>kontakt</Icon>
    <Visibility>1</Visibility>
    <AuthSystem>RAS2</AuthSystem>
    <SNPID>aa1</SNPID>
    <ProductSpecific>
    <Visibility type="Number">3</Visibility>
    </ProductSpecific>
    </Product>

    </ProductHints>

    <soundinfos version="110">
    <all/>
    </soundinfos>

    All you have to do now is to duplicate the nicnt each time and change, what i have marked with red colour.
    And the name of the nicnt, of course. Should be the same as RegKey.
    You don't even have to change the company name each time. You can put in >oisinn< or whatever you like.
    Look into tutorial again, there you can find, in which kind of way you must change the SNPID number. :wink:

    Thanks again Alraun
    The plist trick is not working for me anyway with Kontakt 5.1 on Osx 10.8.3 BUT the .nicnt IS WORKING (most of the time)
    Go raibh maith agat

    Is this gaeilge (gaelic) language :wow: ?. Is it your mother language :wow: ? Is it dificult to learn ?. What are its roots ?
    I'm spanish but i don't know why (because i don't understand a thing in gaelic), i´ve always had the feeling that it is a beautiful language.

    BTW, i gave you thanks in AudioZ already (in the spark thread after you answered me) but i do it here too ... Go raibh maith agat :wink:

    Yes, it's Irish-Gaelic (there is also a scotish-gaelic and manx), an old celtic language. No, it's not my mother language.
    I just know very few popular phrases.
    From my point of view it's difficult to learn, because gaelic people have no mother language,
    like for example standard spanish or standard german. Gaelic consists of many different dialects.
    Yes, it's beautiful to listen to. I love this country and the celtic mythology.

    Oisinn, please correct me, if i say something wrong:
    The roots (as the myth says) go far back to Babylonia and Egypt.
    Gaedel Glas counts as the progenitor of gaelic language.
    He is a grandchild of an egyptian pharaoh (i don't know his name) and a supposed descendant of mythical Noah.
