Hi guys,

I've been lurking around the forums for years and am no stranger to doing what must be done to get software working. Usually, I don't need to ask for help but this one stumped me.

I recently installed Addictive Drums 2 via r2r's crack, everything works just fine regarding installation and libraries, but I can't seem to crack it.

Having followed the instructions, I've done it two ways with the keygen, one where I clicked "get" and I got an ID idk from where, and one where I went to the log and grabbed it from there.

I've tried recreating the directory for placing the licence, as I did not have XLN's installer on my computer at the time - that did not work
I then tried to install XLN's installer, then placing the licence, but the application installs itself differently than the r2r instructions expect, so I am wondering what to do as I am stuck with a trial.

I am running OS X El Cap on a heavily modified 2008 Mac Pro. The machine has its quirks and it's on its last legs, but if I can finish this project I can grab some upgrades for the studio..


tldr: AD2 installation works, library works, can't get plugin to authorize

Your title is a bit misleading. If you are looking for help to install a program, it would be better to state it in the title.

 

start your DAW in admin mode, if your on windows.
oh your on mac. well then. it might be in the same ballpark as on windows, and you have to use the terminal to set some mode on.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough, the issue isn't about installation, as I've mentioned the plugins work but are stuck in trial.

 

Running my DAWs as with elevated priviledges does not help, to clarify:

The crack's instructions do not line up with the way the software installs, has anyone successfully cracked AD2 on OS X and managed to get it working? Please let me know what you did to get the licence working in the /Application Support/ directory.
