    Hello Audiolovers,

edit: typo in the topic, oh well...

I am working quite a bit with ADD2 and I am starting to use more and more the routing feature:

My question would be the following.
When I route only the snare and keep the rest inside the instrument bus, is there a way to mute the snare inside the instrument bus and yet keep sending it to my aux?
That would be really great, because I could compress and work on the snare in real time without having to bounce the snare track.

At the moment the only workaround I can imagine is this:
    - making a exact copy of add2
    - muting everything but the snare
    - rounting the snare to an aux channel
    - muting the instrument bus and still getting the routed signal in aux

I might have the solution here already, but I am wondering if it is possible without having to run two copies of add2 (cpu usage...)

    Thanks for your time,
    Karlsplatz

Have not used AD2 for quite some time, but...

I take it you are using individual outs to different tracks in the DAW. Each bus in AD2 has level control for all incoming sends.

If soloing a channel in AD does not mute the AD2 bus, you will have to assign 'exclusive solo' mode for the snare channel in the DAW.

    Dear Karlsplatz,

it'll be usefull to stick to the exact ADD2 nomenclature so to not get confused. ADD2 has no dedicated Aux channel and I'm afraid I don't know to which instrument bus channel you're referring to (the BUS channel?).

    Aka soloing.
And btw, by ctrl+mouse click (iirc) on the icons you unload the samples which saves some RAM.

I am not sure what you mean with your "bus".
Do you want to just rout your snare to an aux bus in your daw and keep the rest processed routed to the Master of ADD2?
You can choose in the routing menu if you want to send it to the ADD2 master or not. Separate out (and turning off the processing) should mute the snare on your ADD2 Master.
