Hi guys, I have a question to ask. I've just bought the Fairfax 1 and 2 bundle, which I intend to run on a Mac.

Is it possible to run the legit AD2 and add the other libraries available at the sister site?

If I run the legit AD2 engine with the Fairfax AD libraries, do I lose the others?

Thanks for your insight on this.

simple answere definetly no , you canĀ“t use the legit one and mix it with cracked expansions !

try it , mix it with cracked addons and run the xln online installer and see what will happen !

Ok, got It. I suspected so. However, the Fairfax AD alone is worth it.

I bought it already. I want to run the AAX version in Pro Tools 11. The cracked one won't let me. I can live with the Fairfax drums. I'll just copy all the midi files and preset files. Those I will be able to use, I hope.

BTW, I bought the Fairfax bundle because it was a great price. XNL sent me a coupon and the bundle is at discount price already. The whole thing cost me $93 bucks.

$93 bucks is a great price imo *yes*

AD2 a great bit of kit with loads of options.

You don't need ALL the expansions etc/midi files to get some great use & an array of sounds.

When some people say they need this & that they sometimes overlooking the possibilities of the stuff they already have (don't mean u personally or anyone particular) *no*

U could spend months just setting up a great default kit etc & use it to make a 'cohesive' sound for loads of stuff.

At that price it's a bargain I reckon.

I also went through the same dilemma with Toontrack stuff.

However personally I would keep all your legit stuff separate but that's just me & there lot's of other approaches & that bit is up to u.

That said, you can get loads of use out of just the default library etc.

As for the other ones u really want then just build slowly over time when they have a deal running.

    Nice one

Dude chill, what i meant was, Buy your legit Copy, and then use the cracked one From R2R, and if anyone asks, you already bought your Copy.

Yea, i don't know how XLN Online installer works, that's why i didn't say a word about it,

and with all due my respect, i'm an adult, and i already know how important is to support the developers, so don't bother explaining it again, next time read well then reply, and Yeah i only use Warez, not because it is fun, but because i can't buy the stuff i use, thanks for reminding me...

    Arff...

Like many, I started out with try-before-who-knows-when-I'll-buy. I don't mean to be cynical. We've discussed several times the circle of [k]'d life. The truth is we abuse a good thing. It's part of human nature I guess.

Anyway, like lots of us fortunately, there comes a time when you realize you've learned enough and you've taken too much. Plus, you can't be sucking that bottle forever. There comes a time to give back. Mine has already started. I've bought my DAW even though I could be using a [k]'ed one forever. I've started to buy the plug-ins I really use and I've started to turn my face to freebies to avoid using other stuff. Not because now I'm washing my hands off the warez community and now I'm full of shit. There are some people here I've had the pleasure to become more personal with, and I've shared this feeling with them before.

    It's about being grateful.

I support our community the best way I can, and and now I'm on a conscious decision to support the developers, too. I was lucky to get AD2 at a great price. I was going to buy it eventually. Now u-He gave away a coupon, apparently something unheard of before. I'm just reading the signs. The good thing about the try-before-you-buy model is that you can purchase stuff you really know you are going to use. It also weeds out the mediocre and lousy developers. It keeps them on their toes, giving their best.

On the other hand, it is a matter of self-respect and the ying-yang balance of life if you wish. Investing in the ware I use means valuing those tools and giving them fair use until I get to master them. Hey, I paid for them; I want to get the most juice out of them, right? You get what I mean. I would never disrespect the poor musician who needs warez to access what is otherwise an impossible-to-achieve set of skills. I am web-educated. Music production would never be an option in a public college to study in my country. I learned sight-reading and composition online at a time when there were no ads to support the kind people who shared their knowledge. I believe the web can change you if you take it seriously. Its just that it's so easy to remain tethered to the free stuff and the scene releases. Now I'm lucky I can afford to buy the stuff I use. It wasn't like that early this year. I'm getting off a rough patch myself. You do good and good comes back to you.

As for the AD2 stuff, the Fairfax bundle is the setup of my dreams. I love that punchy sound, and the feeling of owning a bit of the famed Sound City drum room sound. Fortunately, the midi libraries you get with the pack are very complete and by the time I need more, I hope to have saved enough to buy Xpaks and Midi Paks.

This post ended up longer than I thought, but I feel bad this thread turned to angered posts. I just wanted to come clean to you, guys. I owe our community this much.
