There isn't much that I listen to on Radio 4 -- most of it irritates me to hell, between comedians who aren't funny and every single story being either about race or transgender -- but there's one programme that I've been catching by accident when I'm making dinner and I learn such a lot about songwriting, composition and music production that I thought it might be worth mentioning here.

The show is called Add to Playlist. It's presented by Cerys Matthews, previously of Catalonia, and it's genuinely great. I believe you can listen to all of the previous episodes on the BBC website, and it's also on Spotify so people who don't have a UK TV licence can also check it out. But the guests are always fantastic and it forces me to listen to and think about music I wouldn't normally bother with.
