Purple-style EQ. The way it's supposed to be.
If you are tired of looking around the internet for the 'best-sounding, more-authentic and god-knows-what-else' legendary passive EQ plugin collection then you have landed on the right page. First and foremost, Purple3 (VST, AAX, AU) is the result of the meticulous sampling of each one of the included machines. We do not use algos. You get what the machine gives. Secondly, Purple3 is a collection giving you the highest number of different 'Purple-style' [pun intended] equalizers on the market - all in a single place - including some ultra-rare units we managed to find and sample for you. If you had to buy all of this in hardware form it would cost you over €10.000! Now you can have all this at a fraction of the price - and no, you're not going to compromise on the sound.

    A Thousand Shades of Purple

You may be wondering why we introduced another M5 model into the Purple3 suite. Well, we challenge anyone to find two equal sounding units of this kind. The case of our M5 and M5V is a clear demonstration that two faithfully sampled versions of two different models can yield very different results. For this reason, when we had the original unit in our hands (from which we derived our M-5V), we were really pleasantly surprised and decided to offer you a new "vintage" plugin, very colorful, given its tube nature, and immediate operation.

Plus, you get Purple3 H2, which is a passive tube EQ renowned for the ability to both boost and cut the low-end frequencies at the same time and to add an unmistakable analog flavor to your mix. This emulation is derived from a rare and vintage 2U single channel program EQ designed as a compact version of our Purple P1 with a more transparent character.

Purple3 H-2 differs from its bigger sibling however, in that it has different peak boost curves but the same Class-A output stage as the M5 (mid-band EQ). Perhaps the most noticeable difference is the fixed bandwidth for the HF Boost and fixed high-cut at 12kHz.

The Purple3 P-AA was sampled from a 'modern take' on this exquisite vintage classic, which can now be found in many studios worldwide. You will be surprised at the inherent differences between the two units. There is no such thing as 'which one sounds best ?' this time. Purple2 gives you all the possible shades for your mix and YOU are going to be the ultimate judge.

    A 'singing' filter

This simple yet powerful plugin completes the Purple3 'Passive' EQ suite by adding a 12 dB/oct low-cut and high-cut filter, plus a preamp emulation derived directly from the Purple3 P-1.

Despite its simple operation, this is an ideal tool for tonal sculpting or achieving special effects. Thanks to carefully selected frequencies, you can easily create effects like telephone voices, sounds from 'outer space,' and more by merely fiddling with a couple of knobs.

If you need to remove hum and rumble as well as hiss and distortion with minimum loss of content, this filter plugin is going to give you the most musical results possible.
