    Titanium BASSTARD

Titanium BASSTARD: a bass-frequency monster machine derived directly from the complete Equaliser (available through Aquarius only)

Titanium BASSTARD rhymes with low end. It is completely FREE, superbly easy to use and is derived directly from the EQ module of our Titanium dreamware suite. BASSTARD helps you shape the low end of your recorded tracks with character and attitude. Definitely not for mastering engineers. Absolutely perfect for serial sound manglers who want their low end to be as full as a stuffed turkey.

I have it, I recommend it. The pres are worth the 89€ alone. On titanium 2 the multicomp pre opens the sound wonderfully.

I like the free basstard. Need an account and install aquarius. You install it from there.

I did a quick comparison with the Bass band of the Puigchild EQP1A on a modern hip-hop instrumental. And I liked the Titanium Bass more. Smooth subs and punchy lows and some spatial depth. It seems to roll of some highs when the preamp is enganged. Thanks for the tip!

It's too funny, this bass band on pultecs is always a major focal point for all of these emus but not only did AA do it the best, they give it give away free.

    Recently compared against bx_console N @30hz, 6db.

Actually like the bx_console N (EQ only), over the TitaniumBasstard. More character while maintaining smoothness

Might be right on that one, but what AA lacks in modern neves they Definitely make up for in vintage ones.

Hi guys! I'm not sure if it's the proper place to ask this (if it's not, please ignore my post...), but did anyone succeed to install basstard on an offline computer? I first tried when I saw this thread and now i'm close to banging my head on a wall!
ps: I already made a ticket at acustica (still unresponded), but i figured that if a fellow user managed to do it then it's not hopeless!!! :woot:

Tubetech is a different model from different manufacturer. Has a heavier sound with more volume abilities.

Did you try authorizing from a different online comp and than loading the file onto the off-line one? I haven't tried myself yet though

I tried this with their last free offering (Ceil). Even opened a ticket. They said sorry, but it must be done through Aquarius. Not happy about having to lug in the Production PC to work to authorize a free plugin. But it's free, so I guess I shouldn't complain. If I wasn't already an Acustica customer, I doubt I would have even tried it, but I digress.
I assume it's going to be the same with Basstard. Basically, no licensing support for off-line installations.
