Yes I have 70gb worth of libraries from sister site I also installed my n4 factory library to that same folder works great for me I also have 70 percent of there aqua plugins installed and I use aquarius multiple times to update everything again no issue

thank you for the insight that is interesting. definitely a tempting offer with the essentially included libs for that price. I'm assuming this was on windows? im primarily mac so would like to know if the libs on sister site would work with mac nebula as well, maybe they will as they're just libraries

i would also like to look into this maybe its worth putting in the thread? i'm sure more people might be interested.. or if not can PM you.

so I'm wondering now do all the older third party libs (created for N3) also work for N4? such as I seen Tim P libs from 2017 under 'Nebula 3 library'. your 70gb worth of libs all also works for N4 I'm presuming then? i.e. N3 libs are compatible with N4

Question for those of you who use nebula a lot. Do you think its worth it to dive in with these convolution style plugins vs really good algorithmic ones??? I feel like when I do mixing or mastering my CPU gets pretty maxed out using algorithmic ones, and then when I throw on my one purchased version of "cream 2" my cpu just says by by. But I feel like cream 2 is just ok and not great, like it just sounds like any other algorithmic plugin but 10x the cpu consumption. My question is, do you think the tone of convolution and the price tags of some of the coveted Top Shelf AA plugins is worth the headache of latency and cpu hogging, vs algorithmic like plugin alliance, soundtoys, izotope etc. which to my ears sound really really good. I could see myself spending some money on AA, but I'm also not interested in spending lots of money if the benefit in sound quality is kinda negligible.

 

I see no presets can you please advise, if there should be presets when you click the preset button on the top of the N4 interface between the 'finder' and 'setups' buttons. I dont seem to have any presets for any of the plugins

I don’t use Nebula but I use a lot of Aqua plugs. The AA and Nebula stuff can’t replace purely digital stuff like fabfilter and iZotope but for the analog modelled stuff they do sound the best. If your machine isn’t a NSA supercomputer you probably won’t be able to do a whole mix with 30+ instances of AA/Nebula but most people don’t use them exclusively. Put the AA/Nebula plugs where they matter the most and use Fabfilter, iZotope, DMG etc. plugins for the rest of the mixes. It’s a different workflow but you will get used to it after awhile. They work great for mastering also.

I would recommend using your best algo tools you are good with, then bless your mix with your favourite Acustica mojo.

 

I just tried all the Tim Cupiwse etc libraries, which are on the sister site and they didn't work at all in this nebula

 

Yes they do im confused why people think the 3rd party libraries wouldn't work there not serial protected you just drag the library to the n4 repository and it shows up in finder you can also add folders from different drives inside settings in n4 .Theres a couple you can buy strictly from aa now those are different they install with aquarius .But as for all the ones on the sister site or any 3rd party library when you open up n4 go to finder not presets.Presets are different theres a newer library on sister that has instructions on making the skin work with that specific library and you have to make a preset for it (which honestly I cant get to work the skin not the library).Also if on pc the main folder is called nebula4repository which installs on c drive in the same window as program files ,program files (x86),program data ,users ect.If you need any help figuring anyhting out just message me ill gladly help if you need pictures showing how mine works ill gladly do that aswell.Hope everyone the best I also have all my aqua plugins installed to be used with n4 and again everything works great.Also when you buy plugins from aa you don't just get say n4 you also get back versions aswell like n3 I bought sand and I have version 1,2,and 3.

Thanks for the help now it works but I only change from vst3 to vst2 I do not know what it influences but vst3 does not recognize me third party libraries
only alexB's neeve console doesn't load my skin (I'll see how I solve it)
